Other free agents worth thinking on:

- LT Cam Robinson
- LT Tyron Smith
- WR Cooper Kupp
- WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
- OG Teven Jenkins
- OG Will Fries
- DE Za’Darius Smith
- FS Jevon Holland
- FS Justin Reid

I’m beginning to lean “roll $25MM or so into next year” because it feels like there just are not players available worth what they will cost (I don’t mean slight overpays), at LT or WR.

It isn’t wise to spend for spending’s sake.

Zero interest in Cam Robinson, or really any remaining FA WR.
I’m fairly sure they’ll have at least that much left at end of year. Most of these deals have low first year cap hits. I highly doubted they’d actually be able to spend to the cap. But that’s fine because they’ll want that space as the future cap hits get higher.

I almost like the idea of bringing Tyron Smith on a Moses-ish deal. That way you can develop guys without getting Drake Maye killed in the process. You're still taking tackles in the draft in this case.

Yeah, obviously Smith was not plan A but he’s still good. Just can’t count on him for more than a year. Moses is probably good for 2 years.

It would be humorous to take both of the Jets’ starting tackles.

He is. He's also looking for 20 million/yr. I'm sort of a coin flip on it.
Me too but it is a position of need and if they still have the money to spend and are not interested in Cam Robinson then it might be worth spending.

That's the coin flip, right?
I think there are field safeties in the first couple rounds of the draft you can bring in that can start right away. The other side of the coin, as it were.

Edit: Also, they can easily afford both of them. Easily.

So you would be okay with Pickens?
Yess!!

Mack Hollins was one of my draft binkies at the time. Nice to finally get him on the team.

Yeah, it's a lot of money to invest in the safety room.
I guess I'm the only one who still likes Peppers and Dugger back there. Especially now with Davis I'll give up a little coverage ability for their physicality and ability to help vs the run.
