It would truly be funny if Rodgers DID go to the Giants... the Steelers would be so screwed

IDK, I think they're more screwed if he goes there.

Just imagine a locker room with Ahole, Metcalf and Pickens. There's no way that ends well.

Ahole can't resist blaming others, and those guys will bristle the instant he does so.

It'll be SOFJ on the Allegheny..

These are both considered top 25 X receivers. I'm not saying they need to select both but it's becoming clear that they can't get any big names to come here willingly. Boutte Baker and Polk need to earn their spot.
Boutte earned his spot last Season...where you been bakes?? Polk and Baker haven't.

Hunter is going to play full time CB and limited snaps at WR.

I don't see how that's not the case, i've watched a lot of the Colorado games and he's a better CB than WR plus it's way easier to do it that way then play full time WR then try and be a corner factor in limited snaps.
Hunter is the Biletnikoff award winner as the best WR in college football. Hunter might need a year to ramp up, but by all accounts he is very smart, hard working, and the talent is off the charts. We need All Pros - Hunter is more likely to be an All-Pro than the other WRs.

Since it's being argued what Hunter actually is, I could see him dropping.

So here's who we know we have signed so far:

DT Milton Williams. This is a big get to shore up that interior DL.

DE Harold Landry. A reliable pass rusher who is familiar with Vrabel's defensive system. Another big get.

OT Morgan Moses. Looks like he was the Jets right tackle for a number of years. So we have an RT but still missing that LT position.

CB Carlton Davis. We needed a #2 outside CB opposite Gonzalez so this seems to fill a need.

OLB Robert Spillane. PFF gave him a top 4 grade for 2024. Seems to be a solid tackler. We needed to reinforce that LB corps.

Pats shored up several need areas. Still no WR1 and still no LT. We need to hit those positions aggressively in the draft if we can't sign a free agent or trade for a player to fill them.

I'm not down on Tetaroi McMillan.

Perhaps discussed already, but IMO interesting..

Sam Darnold took the Geno Smith deal

Here's an interesting nugget about Darnold's deal with Seattle: The Seahawks essentially made the same offer to Geno Smith and he turned it down, according to NFL Media. The three-year, $100 million deal could be worth up to $110.5 million, but it sounds like Darnold will make roughly $33.3 million per year, but the big number is that he'll be getting $55 million in guaranteed money. According to multiple reports, Smith was looking to get roughly $45 million per year from Seattle and the Seahawks didn't want to pay that.

I am

If Hunter is there yes you run to the podium
If the Pats go and sign another F/A tackle and DT, they could use their draft picks on best player available.

I wasn't a proponent of drafting Hunter, but if they load up tomorrow in free agency I'd be more open to it.

Ok but doesn't he prefer to play CB? That's like trading for a player that doesn't want to be here...kinda.

DAMN.. I was hoping he'd come here to be opposite Landry..
I liked Sweat and the money is reasonable for a passrusher of his quality. I'm thinking he preferred the warm weather of Arizona and its low state income tax of 2.5 percent.

He improved but I'm still not convinced he's consistent enough to be trusted.
Really even Amateur Play caller AVP knew K Boutte was better than Polk and Baker.

No

Basically a 2nd and a 4th in 26

Pats understandably want to hold onto their picks. I think it was a good no trade for pats

Commanders will be good next year
