Free agency officially begins on Wednesday.

However the legal tampering period began this Monday at 12PM.

Teams are allowed to talk directly to agents only at this time.

So this is when the dealmaking begins.

Hopefully we get the feelers out and sign some priority targets today or at least get verbal agreements from agents for their client's signature.

I keep hearing the narrative is that some inside the Patriots like Will Campbell and I'm calling BS! THATS SMELLS OF SMOKE. They failed to land the WR1 in free agency. I'm not saying they need to draft one at 4 but if they don't want to come here then the pivot should be look at drafting one fairly early. This year's class is not ideal for that to be the need but this team still has lots of needs.

Ideally we can trade back to get Matthew Golden and trade back up to get Josh Simmons.

Pats already have 4 WR who are 24 or younger with Boutte, Baker, Polk and Douglas.. Baker and Polk they just used a 4th and 2nd respectively.. Yet, they're going to add 2 MORE young WRs by adding a 2nd and 3rd round pick?

Why would Texans do that trade?
Adam Peters was the guy I wanted last year, he keeps rolling.

Maybe they know something about Tunsil that we don't. Some Texans fans seem to think that he was showing clear signs of decline last year but that may just be copium. I have no idea.

He will 31 owed 21.3M and the OL wasn't that good last year as a whole, it seems that they are tearing down and rebuilding. They have a few young guys that might pan out

Tunsil gave up 2 sacks, 2 hits, and 14 hurries during the regular season. He had a bad game in the play-offs where he gave up a 2 sacks and a hurry against KC.

Houston capitalized and is clearly looking to add someone in the draft for the left side..

Now that the Giants signed Rodgers, does that mean the Steelers are going to re-sign Wilson? If I am the Steelers, I might sign sign Mac Jones to compete. There aren't many better options out there.

Hunter is a WR.

Hunter is going to play full time CB and limited snaps at WR.

I don't see how that's not the case, i've watched a lot of the Colorado games and he's a better CB than WR plus it's way easier to do it that way then play full time WR then try and be a corner factor in limited snaps.

Hunter is not a crisp route runner but at corner everything about him looks elite.

These are both considered top 25 X receivers. I'm not saying they need to select both but it's becoming clear that they can't get any big names to come here willingly. Boutte Baker and Polk need to earn their spot.

Competition is the way my friend. Bring in players and let everyone settle it with their play.

The 2 sacks allowed in the play-offs might have been on their mind and biasing them. Tunsil isn't bad by any stretch. Houston fleeced the Commanders, IMHO...

I like it but with our current LT situation (as of 4:25 PM EST) i think that it's too risky to wait for Simmons at 22. I'd take him at 16 and Golden at 22. JMO.

I have to imagine they will eventually sign someone.
