Is that used much in Vrabel's scheme?
Yes, obviously somebody is lining up between the guards. I’m not sure what defense people are imagining that has two 3-techniques with a giant hole between them. They’re not going to do that outside of obvious passing situations.

Davis is a solid CB2 option. He was a key element of Tampa's championship.

He would be a good signing. And I like this approach, if it’s what I think it is, where they go after talent instead of pressing need.

Or both!

What do you mean 'and'?
You don't have a nose tackle in any 4-3.

A wide-body in a 3-4 is called a Nose Tackle; a wide-body in a 4-3 is called a 0/1-Tech and can absolutely - and SHOULD - be used as one of the DTs in that front, All the time (except in Obvious passing situations).

I thought in 4-3 they typically line up over the guards instead of the center?

I'm going to have to get used to our new D.

Not two of them at the same time; otherwise our run defense will be as porous as last year (17 Straight Runs).
Yes. Two of them at the same time. That's how a 4-3 works. You want a fatty, go draft Deone Walker in the 5th round- 360lb freak of nature. Have him play in run situations in rotation.

Williams and Barmore would play together, it has nothing to do with his blood clot situation.

Thanks for the clarification I always thought zero tech was the nose.

I always thought zero starts over the center and then the number goes up each gap and each ol spot as you move outward. Making zero and nose the same.

It would be great if you can address both, but in a market where the OT’s and WR’s remaining are largely a bunch of jags I think it’s better to go after talent and not spend significantly for meh players.

People are going to be overall unimpressed with who the Pats take. Any sign of a bad attitude, not coming here at this time. They need culture builders, guys who will se the tone and not allow any BS to take root.

It is; but a wide-body can play both 0-Tech in a 3-4 And a 1-Tech in a 4-3 if they have any hope of stopping the run.
