Yes, LFG!!!!

Really...looking at free agency...we should be able to get a DL-man, some more pass rush, a #2 corner, and Cam Robinson at LT....and I'll be happy.

Even if true, this was a very oddly worded tweet and pretty unnecessary
I agree, that was a poorly worded tweet. I think Vrabel convinced him pretty quickly, he just got released a day or so ago.

He maxed out his deals in Tennessee because he produced at a high level, if he does the same here he will see the entirety of this new contract.

Roughly 17-20 million per if he continues at his current rate of play or improves. He made 20.3 million in 2022 despite missing the entire season with an ACL, but made 15 million in 2023 and 17.3 million in 2024. If he hit playing incentives in 2022 he likely would have averaged roughly 17-18 million per, his contract was just front loaded. Good deal for both team and player IMO.

Thanks. Any idea what his twitter handle is? I searched Miguel Benzan and got nada.
It is always right to go to miguel.

Personally, I rarely go to Twitter. So, I use overthecap.com more often.

Not sure why people are upset about Landry “needing some convincing”, that’s what we should expect, correct?

What did you expect? All available free agents would be flooding into Foxboro to sign up to play there immediately for a bargain price?

Obviously most good players being approached by a team with a terrible record in a less desirable location will “need some convincing” - 30% of that is done by the coach pitching his vision and 70% is done by how big the check is.

Hell, the Patriots has won a SB and had Belichick as HC, and Rodney Harrison visited NE as a courtesy with the intent on signing with Denver right afterwards. Belichick convinced him with his vision and with the Ground Round.

The spin by Josina just really annoyed me.

Might as well have wrote “Landry doesn’t want to play for the Patriots and is getting dragged to play there kicking and screaming” since that was the angle she was going for.

Really don’t know much about Johnathan Allen (former WAS DT) game play and health, but if he’s healthy. He might be a good lower cost insurance policy/backup for Barmore.

This is exactly what Mayo couldn’t do - poach players from his previous team.

Good signing. Hopefully Carter slides so he takes Jennings spot.
