First Meaningless 2025 Mock

Here's another mock draft. I was very pleased to land DE Carter at #4. Then I moved up aggressively for OT Simmons #26 at the bottom of the first and WR Tre Harris #58 near the bottom of the 2nd.

Got a couple of DL to up the quotient on defense in the middle rounds in DT Pegues and another pass-rusher in DE Rucker.

Then I think we also have a couple of interesting sleepers in TE Luke Lachey and RB Jo'Quavious "Woody" Marks. WR Badger looks like a bigger slot receiver to complement Tre Harris. How did I do?

I think if we find 3 starters and at least 2-3 backup/rotation players we had ourselves a pretty good draft.

Like the first 3 picks obviously. Then you plugged the depth holes. All you can do when you trade back into the 1st round.

It's a believable mock in terms of values and I love the Pegues pick. I don't love the idea of giving up picks in the middle rounds where I think there's plenty of value, but you got three potential future starters out of it.

Got both Golden and Simmons. Addressed needs at WR, O-line, D-line

Personally I'm not a big Golden/Ersery guy so I actually prefer the back half of your mock than the front half although Simmons, Sawyer and Noel are excellent picks. Others like Golden and Ersery more than me so objectively, it's a strong mock.

Started a mid-week post-combine mock on PFN (updated as of 3/5/25 at 5:00pm) last night but shut it down because I had to wake up early today and didn't return home until after 8pm tonight... Some changes to the rankings, including the removal of Logan Brown from the Under the Radar category

It's a great mock, albeit somewhat unrealistic. Darius Alexander at 122?

I have just tried 6 consecutive mocks on PFF and on every single one, Jayden Higgins is gone before pick 38 despite being ranked at 51. It looks like he's getting a lot of buzz amongst mockers.

Mukuba is ranked #69 and he's been going in the 40s.

I used to be able to get the perfect mock but now I'm being left with option b or c. Without mocking a trade down in the first which I don't like to do for realism's sake, finding value is becoming much harder.

There are several players in the 7th that I used to routinely rely on that have upside that are now going regularly in the 5th and 6th rounds. BB would have specifically gotten pick or picks to be in that 145/219 gap for that reason.

You drafted a kicker???
I don’t even know who you are anymore man!!!

OK i lied lol now that we know we aren't getting Stanley the focus becomes clear.

*Holds nose*
Where are you playing your first three linemen?

I'm going under the assumption that Josh might not be 100% to start so Will would be that stop gap at LT then he would move to LG. Logan looks to have the flexibility to play anywhere.

4. Travis Hunter. Ideal pick.

38. Derrick Harmon. First round talent still available? The Patriots’ luck continues.

69. Ozzy Trapilo. Safest OT in the draft.
77. Developmental LT. Charles Grant. Had he played at a Power 4 school, he’s likely gone a round earlier.

105. Tai Felton. A fast, productive X receiver. The luck continues. Instant starter.

145. Hoping for the Toledo DT, Darius the Man Wrecker. The luck runs out. How about a power RB? Damien Martinez.

219. Solid two down DT, Ty Hamilton out of Ohio State.

222. Que Robinson. A third down pass rusher at the edge. Another position of need. Surprisingly available.

240. LaJohntay Wester. Fast little wideout that gets open in a hurry. Good to know if Demontrey Jacobs is your starting OT.
