2025 Draft: Defensive Tackles

I was gonna say for all the doubters of Shemar Stewart due to lack of production

can you tell me who these 2 are...

Tyleik and Big Alfred. I really like Collins as a NT, I'm not convinced we'll take one so high.

Someone posted a video of Shemar Stewart vs. Will Campbell. Stewart was stifled.

But you would jump at the chance at selecting Grant in the 2nd I assume?

I would be happy with either. I'm just not convinced we'll take either.

Well from the looks of it Alfred showed he can be more versatile than Grant. So that's why I'm leaning towards him. Both are surprisingly fast for their size.
i would prefer joshua farmer, west oder caldwell for the big run stuffing DT role. If we sign milton williams i think we need a bigger body next to him who can two gap or take on double teams. Also our DE needs to be stouter.

Barth and Lazar aren't as high on Graham's run stopping capability. They think the grading is a little inflated and don't think he's very stout against double teams. The other DT on Michigan was an immovable object and they think Graham's numbers profited from that.

I'm not saying he isn't a great player. Just might not be the total package.
graham isn't the type of DT you ask to take on double teams. So why judge him by that? Williams can't do that either and wants 20 Mio.

I wonder if he had good coaching this past year?
I'm sorry, I don't understand. Is this a reference to something I should know about Washington's coaching?

Last round POSSIBLE UDFA.

Sounds like Mason Graham to me
I would love to see a rotation of Graham, White, Barmore, Williams. I am also very excited to see Chaisson, Landry and Jennings. Jennings was very adept at getting to the QB at Alabama. I am probably in the minority on this forum but I love what they have done this free agency period. I wanted them to go into the draft with at least one side of the ball a completed project and the defense almost is.

We do not have the answer at LT or WR, but we have improved out RT and brought in a player that can line up at X and will allow Boutte to rotate at Z as well as spell Hollins. Speaking of Hollins, he is not a "1" but he is reliable and a big target that has experience with McD.

I imagine we are going to see a lot of movement on the draft board if it were tomorrow. There is plenty of time to add people that may be able to help this season.

Excited Pats fan

The offense would have looked a lot better with Ronnie Stanley and Chris Godwin but sadly it was not meant to be. I'm glad they haven't overspent so far on not very good or ageing players. However, they are going to have to hit in the draft.

At 6'2 - 280, he's more of a DE in this defense.

When you have guys who are 6'3 - 320+ moving the way that they are in terms of run-stopping and rushing the passer, It makes a guy like Vann slip.

One big argument for trading down. There's going to be some really good EDGE rushers, DTs and the start of the mid-tier WR run there so two second round picks would be really useful. Assuming we get our LT in FA, trade down in the first and pick up one of:

WR
DT
DE

and then get the other two in round two.

As far as DTs go, the following could all be 2nd round value:

Darius Alexander
TJ Sanders
Tyleik Williams
Joshua Farmer (fast becoming a new favourite of mine)
Alfred Collins
Omar Norman-Lott

My hope is that they trade down and pick up an additional 2nd round pick this year and a 2nd or 3rd 3rd next year.

If we do pass on Mason Graham at 4 and pass on other DTs in the 2nd and 3rd round I would hope we can find a way to make sure we add this guy on day 3.

thor griffith wasn't asked to do nearly as much when he transferred to Louisville but still produced.
