Without a lot of additional context this means nothing other than to be provocative.
I think it's unfair to put too high of expectations on Vrabel given the roster he is inheriting. But holy hell he better at least finish better than 4-13 or this fanbase will be unbearable.

You've been around here long enough to know Vrabel could coach 'em to 13-4 and there's still a portion of this fanbase that would be unbearable.

True. But I think if Vrabel can't pass Mayo's record, it would mentally break some people. Well... mentally break some people more than they have been.

If the Pats land some good FA's, hit on some draft picks and Maye takes his game to the next level, they will eclipse their win totals in 2023 and 2024 easily. The competition in the NFL is on the decline, so it's not out of the question the Pats can compete in the near future. Redskins Commanders are a good example. They aren't a good team, but the NFL is so bad they ended up making the playoffs and the NFCCG. BB had a hard time in last years because money was spent poorly, poor drafts, no QB, depleting staff and probably on burnout.

I believe Vrabel wouldn't have taken this job if he didn't get confirmation from Bob that he's going to have to compete and open up the check book. And while he can still relate to the younger guys, he's not going to take **** from entitled players and play checkers with them like Mayo did.

Hope Vrabel can do really well in the draft. That would set the tone for his stay in New England. Hopefully for a very long time!

If Vrabel goes 4-13, I’m supposed to be happy? Sycophants might be but not me.

He says we blew a chance to take Drake and the Pats back into Super Bowl relevancy by selecting Vrabel over Ben Johnson. He even goes as far as to say Ben turned down the Commanders last year once he learned that they were selecting Daniels over Maye. That's how bad he wanted to coach him. It's a pretty funny watch so I felt I should share since it's not likely going to garner attention otherwise.

I’m late to the party responding to this…

Who cares about this opinion? Mike Vrabel is our head coach, PERIOD

Now looking forward to a half decent off season, and being able to root for Wins next season (and never again “rooting” for a loss, like last game)

Let's see how it goes with Vrabel, give it a couple years and if it doesn't work out, go get an offensive guy to be head coach. Most of the head coaches in the last several super bowls were from offensive back grounds. Why fight the trend?

Just remember this thread when Vrabel starts out 1-5

Damn.

What a fantastic fan base.

Vrabel isn’t halfway to putting together his first roster and you all are giving up already?

“give it a couple of years”? More like give him a couple of minutes.

SMH

Really? Can we test this theory by going 13-4, please?

Kliff Kingsbury, Lane Kiffin, Josh MacDaniels etc etc…, Being a good OC doesn’t make you are great Head Coach anymore than being a good DC does. The two best head coaches of the last 25 years were Belichick and Reid,, one was a great defensive coordinator, the other is a great offensive coordinator. There is no prototype for being a great head coach, otherwise every team would have one. So the real question is:

Why the **** do we keep getting threads starting from meatheads like this guy and Grilled Cheese?

So, before you start a thread ask yourself this

one basic question…..Should I really start a thread about cheerleaders from Itchy Anus?

Completely understandable. If they don’t go 20-0 every season they definitely suck.

Yep, and they are popping their little heads up right now.

Year 6 of the post-Brady rebuild = 3,153,600 minutes
