Carter's broken foot injury complicates the situation.
Does it though? It's a 2 month recovery, he'll be back in time for training camp?

I think people are just assuming he's going to freefall down the board over an 8 week injury. This isn't like 'he needs microfracture surgery on his knee'.

Maybe. I don't see how he can go Top 5 with a fractured foot. It takes 8 weeks to heal and then 4 weeks at least to get in shape if everything heals well. Lots of risk for a Top 5 pick where you can't confirm injury recovery before the draft.

Feet and knees are those types of injuries that can haunt players throughout their career. Maybe its much to do about nothing and he gets it taken care of and becomes a Rockstar or maybe it takes something off his game that he never gets back because a lot of his success is based on his ability to get to the QB lightning fast. I think if he is there we still take a shot at what he can become as the Pats need to get a real pass rush again. We will know more on his status by draft, my opinion could change easily as it is a big concern.

Lie.

I think the most important parts of the article are that they expect to add a guard and tackle in free agency and draft a lineman at 4.

I’d prefer that they sign more than two new starters on the offensive line But it would certainly be a start and a much better solution to the mess last season.

The only UFA Non-OTs in which I now have big-money-spending interest are Kevin Zeitler, Aaron Banks & Brandon Scherff... Otherwise I'd rather just let the ones that are already here sort themselves out while re-investigating the post-draft UFA market for bargains... Same with the draft: maybe Ohio St Center Seth McLaughlin in the 5th round, unless another Trey Smith falls to us like he did in 2021...

I want ALL of Ronnie Stanley, Zeitler/Banks/Scherff & Morgan Moses

I definitely agree with the overall philosophy of building through the trenches. As always, I hope their signings are rooted in their evaluation of how good the player is vs. the position he plays. The OL and DL classes in free agency there seem to have some good players available though, so glad to see it lines up with the philosophy.

How about a WR that can Beat Man Coverage?? Asking for a Friend.

Kinda crazy hes only 24 as well, though he does turn 25 soon. Im in on him as well too, as much i wanted to splurge at wr itd probably be better than overspending on a bigger name whos on the downswing
I've been watching him for years, I'm still not sure..he complained about stuff, I don't need nor want that.
Talent? Yes, does he have a 2 cent head?

Why are you trying to say what other people were arguing with me about last offseason… are you omniscient? You see every post?

People insisted Okorafor playing a lot meant he was good, see what they’re saying about Jackson above. If they pay Jackson it will be a mistake. Rams are a well run organization, well coached, he’s still a poor athlete.
I don't remember people saying Okorafor was good, I was AGAINST a guy that was a RT that was BENCHED for a rookie coming in as our LT.
He was pissed as it was as a benched RT, WHO THINKS it's a good idea to bring him in as our starting LT?
NOONE but Wolf.

Please Advise.

Thanks

Nope, no thanks. Dude is on the back 9 and is hurt all the time and isn't what the Pats need.
If it's a 6th/7th pick swap? You'd be crazy not to.

If it's pick 77 like people seem to want to give out like Halloween candy, then definitely not.

That article is crap.

It's pure speculation on Samuel to the Pats.

The only relevant things from the article:
Lynch doesn't want to trade Samuel
Lynch will do his best to make it happen though.

Doesn't mean the Pats. It also means that it's going to be expensive.
The article is more like a love in, and they were years ago. Pretty much like Samuel.
