2025 NFLPA Team Report Cards

Realizing that the large majority of free agent players we’re discussing came from low to middle income backgrounds, aren’t millionaires in many cases and are trying to drag their entire family out of poverty.

Players who are coming off rookie contracts are looking at the first big payday of their life… millions or even hundreds of thousands dollars difference matters.
That wasn't for the player trying to make it.. it was for all the players that have made millions already in generations of wealth. For example Drake is on a 40 million dollar rookie deal.. I don't think he's affected one bit by the tax.. thr tax is basically saying if you make the $$$ then pay the taxes on what you make.. no different than was us poor working class are forced to do.

The plane thing is odd given how regularly Kraft tries to flaunt “air kraft”.

Seems like an easy fix…trade them in for newer models. It’s write-off anyway.

This is what? The third year in a row we have been in the bottom half of these surveys? I know theyre redoing the weight room and practice fields and all that but the plane situation should have been handled by now.

Everybody is affected by taxes, also Drake Maye was the third overall pick. He’s unique, there’s a lot more lower and middle class players who didn’t make nearly that much in their first contract.

If you already get nailed by the tax burden, the least you could do with all the unprecedented winning proceeds you made during the dynasty was make the facilities world class.

Fan sites like this one is the only place millions of dollars matter less than feelings.

I really hope Kraft sells the team. He is one of the worst owners in pro sports. If **** Rehbein didn't convince Coach Duplicitous Pond Scum (Thanks Kevin Mannix, 2000/2001) to draft Tom Brady, Krafty Bob is probably on his 10th coach since he drove Parcells out of town.

It's amazing how there's a small minority of posters that actually defend Bob. He's the most overrated Owner in pro sports. Posters don't want to admit it, but the Pats were going downhill fast before Drew's injury which forced Tom to play.

I drank the Kool Aid in the early years and gave him the benefit of the doubt during the Parcells-Martin blunders, but that all ended after "Spy Gate" and especially after "Deflate Gate". When articles surfaced regarding what happened during the Carrol years, you see how bad Kraft is as an Owner.

These rankings are like prestige points for UFA's. If you sign with a team that has a high grade it's like taking home a trophy in front of your peers. Sign with a team that has low grades and you are a loser.

Not sure how Kraft did not appreciate this last year and make more of an effort to fix it.
It means something to the players and NFLPA using it as leverage.

Miami- no state tax, A+ grade. All other things being equal...its Miami as the destination spot.

Oh most definitely agreed there wozzy. But this isn't new the last few seasons haven't the grades been coming in like this?

The difference now is were aren't hoisting up Lombardis so everything is much more magnified. Basically what I'm trying to say is there isn't much sympathy for millionaires if you life in Massachusetts.

The documentary confirmed every suspicion I had about him. He just lucked out, which hey - most owners are really just hoping for luck - but Kraft confused himself to be integral to the success, when it's abundantly clear he can barely fund it until people come for his head.

I have mentioned this before, but the way he and Bill interact in the 2009 A Football Life showed how awkwardly he would try to insert himself. He kisses the ring when it behooves him, and he feeds the piggies when they're setting eyes on him because they're tired of bologna sandwiches.

One interesting note, Vrabel was given a B+ grade in last year’s ratings (which followed his last season in Tennessee in 2023). The report said, “94% of players feel that former head coach Mike Vrabel was efficient with their time (13th overall),” and “The players feel that Mike Vrabel was somewhat willing to listen to the locker room (19th overall).”

Weird that they would use feedback from a different team in a different year.

…but didn’t Bob fix the lighthouse?
Grade for Inland Light House with Tiny Bell..............A-

Players were universally impressed with Big Bob, the Inland Light House with Tiny Bell, with its newly enhanced girth and length upgrades, a pet project of the recently acquitted octogenarian owner.
Four percent of those surveyed felt the tiny bell was disproportionately small given the added bulk of the reinvigorated Big Bob

Was this for Vrabel? I really thought it was for Mayo lol

They didn't. I looked it up and used that in the thing I wrote, but I thought it was interesting in this discussion here in the thread as a comparison.
