I transcribed this early this morning for anyone who hasn't seen/listened to the episode:

Long posted it yesterday, and there were definitely some good tidbits in here.

Here's the video:

Tremendous transcription. Definitely appreciate the effort. Hard not to like Maye, and interesting to see Long complimentary of BB.

Just finished listening this morning. Maye is basically a second son to me at this point. I love everything about the kid. He's humble, he's smart, he's a great teammate, and he has all the talent in the world.

Definitely agree with both of you guys. Just a good dude and a good player. Really hope he lives up to the expectations and that he becomes the guy we hope he ends up being. Hopefully, they also get him some help up front and he can spend more time making plays next season and less time getting hit.

Josh may be, no, is, a lousy head coach, but I firmly believe that he is going to draw the best out of Drake. In my opinion, he is a great match for Maye, as a coach and offensive mind. Go, Pats

I hope he's paying your rent
Great kid
3 Biggest think to me about him to succeed is
Leadership. He hates people talking strictly about him. He wants his teammates mentioned also
Intelligence. he has it. film study rat
Toughness. This is the one most QB's fail in the NFL. aka Mac Jones. This kid had 3 older successful athletic brothers kick his ass on a daily basis. He's hardened

This is one of the main reasons I was so high on Maye well before the draft ... Add to it that he was the "shrimp" (haha) of the bunch, and I'd guess he ended up with a good size chip on his shoulder (in a good way, just super competitive). He has an athletic father as well, whole family of athletes.

Wasn't there another QB with older siblings for him to compete with? Something like that, anyway?

I agree. Josh has always had a good track record with our QBs, even developing the backups into competent players if not starters.

Pats drafted a QB a few years ago that had 3 older sisters that beat the **** out of him.

Some kid from Michigan. Grew up in San Mateo. Wound up winning a SB with Tampa Bay.

Thought what he said about Polk and Baker being overwhelmed was nice....and am happy that he still thinks those two have potential.

Watched a bit. Thanks for sharing. At a minimum hes a quality human being.

But...my hope is a diabolical level of Brady/Montana/Jordan/Bird-esque hyper-competitiveness, inhuman worth ethic, and drive to win has consumed his soul.

Very much looking forward to this coming season. I think just like we saw with BB coaching the D and making a difference, this year will be the same now that our coaches seem to actually have oh I don’t know, experience?

Edit:
Meant to say thanks Ian, as always for the work you do!

Mother was a high school basketball player who won most of the family HORSE games. She taught them that losing was unacceptable. Very competitive
