It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Yeah, he looked pretty washed at the end of last year, and he's definitely not going to get any better - that number you mentioned is a good number for a depth guy, especially one who can play multiple positions, including safety, the one spot where he actually played pretty decently last year.Patriots pending free agent CB opens up on future with team
Pending free agent cornerback Jonathan Jones wants to return and finish his career with the New England Patriots. At 31 years old, this could be an opportunity for Jones to explore the free agent market. However, he'd rather play for the team that selected him out…patriotswire.usatoday.com
Jonathan Jones, wants to stay in New England and wants to get back to winning ways.
I want Jonathan to not get burned consistently,
Jones was clutch here, maybe he can get back to being that guy.
4-6 mill a year a range.
I agree with you. Depth role, rotation player at this point. Dial and Austin are still young developing players. They project to get better under Vrabel and Williams. Jon Jones was once a dial and or Austin.. too.. he got better as an UDFA.Yeah, he looked pretty washed at the end of last year, and he's definitely not going to get any better - that number you mentioned is a good number for a depth guy, especially one who can play multiple positions, including safety, the one spot where he actually played pretty decently last year.
I'm fine with keeping him here, so long as they're not asking him to take a starting role. He's certainly better in a depth spot than some of the board binkies people like to mention (Dial, Austin, etc).
You mean this guy?Great observations. I just feel Jackson might I ch above 25 million considering the demand for LT from contending teams. I would honestly be ok if we signed a mid range vet who can last for 6-8 games while allowing Rookie and Lowe to get better and takeover. I am not completely done with Lowe and feel he might become better as the group improves on a overall basis. Better left guard play could help him become better .
Conerly seems to be sleeper pick this year and my gut says he could be OT equivalent of Sam la porta who was my binkie .
You mean this guy?
No thanks! I suppose if he's all that's left at 38 I'd be reluctantly ok with it lol

Mike Green is actually someone I've been advocating as an alternative at 4 as he's not much of a drop off from Carter IMO.Holy **** that guy was half his size.
Remember he used to erase Tyreek Hill.Jon Jones is and has been a solid player for us.. he's a slot guy and at this point in his Career is where he should play. He also has been dinged up last few seasons. He's not an outside Corner.
When u have an all pro on the other side is sure helps... #gilly lock.Remember he used to erase Tyreek Hill.
I'm more than fine with adding a starting CB. However, I suspect that Jones would still be the best nickel that we have.Yeah, he looked pretty washed at the end of last year, and he's definitely not going to get any better - that number you mentioned is a good number for a depth guy, especially one who can play multiple positions, including safety, the one spot where he actually played pretty decently last year.

Gilly was awesome because of Flores pressure on the QB IMO.When u have an all pro on the other side is sure helps... #gilly lock.
He is a good player and a leader, injuries were a big part of him looking bad last year. Given his age I agree that the team should not invest big money or depend on him to help carry the defense. I hope they find a way to make it work next year.Yeah, he looked pretty washed at the end of last year, and he's definitely not going to get any better - that number you mentioned is a good number for a depth guy, especially one who can play multiple positions, including safety, the one spot where he actually played pretty decently last year.

true, and it worked perfectly.Actually he was one piece of limiting Hill. Jones took away the underneath and McCourty took him over the top.

The best nickel we have is Marcus Jones, and it's not close.I'm more than fine with adding a starting CB. However, I suspect that Jones would still be the best nickel that we have.
Man why are you so enthusiastic about overpaying?I am really hoping that players decide to go to market because they know the Pats can over pay. I think overpaying is what it will take, because honestly if a team wants to resign a player they can make it work as long as the owner want to give more cash via extension or restructure. The bill will eventually come due like with the Saints.
