#4 pick over last 10 years

That people over value the position. They treat it as the 2 spot when its closer to the 10
It's not who they picked, it's who *could have picked*, had they been smart enough. 4 >> 10

After the one-season results of trading down in the 2024 draft, I'm rather hesitant to advocate for another trade down.

WR Ladd McConkey and CB Tarheeb Still vs WR Ja'Lynn Polk and WR Javon Baker may go down as one of the most lopsided trades of the decade.

Do whatever it takes to sign either Alaric Jackson or Ronnie Stanley in free agency.

Then use #4 on the best player that is still available.

Vs Giants in 2 SB Losses Brady was under pressure, they lost, last 2 Chiefs losses were because Mahomes was under constant pressure.

Brian Flores created massive pressure, and Gilmore won DPOY.

Eagles rushed 4, created massive pressure, they won.

Trenches, Trenches, Trenches.

Then get shiny toys

McConkey was a stud at the combine, I was SHOCKED that Wolfie traded out of that spot.

Vrabel remembers this like it was yesterday! Trenches, Trenches, Trenches!!

Of the 2 I'd take the younger Jackson.. how anyone one of them is better than vederian lowe

that's really irrelevant though... Hindsight is always 20/20

but yes, if you are going to stink enough to be in the top ten in the draft, i'd rather be in the 4 spot than the 10.

This, in a nutshell.

Everyone says it throughout the year. Build the Line then... and then the season is over, and everyone gets distracted by all the shiny toys available in the draft...

Priority 1 for me this off season is protect Drake Maye.

Agreed. I think it's pretty obvious with the 32nd ranked OL that Drake must be protected.. he also helps the OL with his abilities . Simply solidifying LT helps tremendously the entire OL. Vrabel won't stand for anything less than a stout OL and DL. Lowe and Jacobs are as good as gone!

Still need a right tackle, then figure out left guard and center.

Lowe is fine as a swing tackle/temp fill in. they need starting caliber tackles. on both sides.

If you win the LOS, you WIN more often than not.

It's really that simple.

Losing Stephen Neal(Mauler/Wrestler) twice really hurt us.

@PatsFan2 says he's sick of lowe..
I'm tired of watching him false start and give up leverage when he has those long ass arms.. yes starting caliber absolutely.. I feel good about Wallace and Robinson I tell ya.. on the right side.

I get your logic. But the issue is the Patriots need either a pure receiver or pure blocker at this point. A guy who splits time at both based on need is helpful, but they really just need some guy who can consistently be on the line and complete his assignment and they need a guy that can just run routes all day and be someone opposing defenses have to account for and make adjustments to.

I don’t disagree that they need a really good WR, but I think the best approach for them right now is to get the best players they can where they can get them. If the can address their lines in free agency I would be all for trading down from 4 for a 2nd round pick, take Tyler Warren, and then trade up from their 2nd round pick and take Mathew Golfen. That would upgrade their offense significantly with two players Maye could hook up with for years.
