The jets are now all-in to the QB market

The Jets are in a hell of a spot to be without a QB.
Jets are in full rebuild right now. They cleaned house and they know all the pieces that came because of Rodgers will soon be gone.

It’s bad, but they aren’t looking towards much next year. If anything, they are probably thinking next year is when they snag a QB and they’ll sign some stopgap for a minute

Yep, but goodwill for coaches/GMs lasts about two years (and sometimes not even that long). If this year is a wash, they better get a great draft pick QB in year 2 or the Jets will be on to another coach and maybe GM.

The Jets may be "all in" on the QB market this year but I don't even know what the QB market is.

The 3 most prominent QB free agents this offseason are Aaron Rodgers (once he's cut), Zach Wilson and Sam Darnold. Guess what those 3 guys all have in common?

Doubt we see a trade with nyj, but all we really need is for there to be noise that they could try to leapfrog vegas to 5 if vegas is all in on sanders. If we get a very nice return to move to 6 i would check it out.

This is in the situation that hunter, ward, carter are the first 3 picks. If carter or hunter are there i wouldn’t move(it would probably also mean someone took sanders so i don’t believe any other qb would fetch a return)
I think we'd only trade with them if one of Sanders or Ward drops to #4. That's very unlikely. And if someone wanted one of those two they would trade up above us anyways.

Mayo really SCREWED us with that last week meaningless win just to stroke his own ego. UGH, we should be picking #1 right now and fielding offers!

Mayo couldn't do anything right. For example: At least getting us the #1 Pick.

If was a top draft prospect, I’d specifically tell the Jets not to draft me. They’ve picked in the top 10 50% of the time within the last 20 years.

You can’t blame him for the Bills deciding to literally do nothing but be there all game.
I seem to recall Bill knowing how to take an intentional safety.

To win a game he did that. You can only do so much when the Bills play their second string QB and then decide to pull him for the third string QB when he starts to show a the faintest sign of a heartbeat.

We were playing our third string QB. You're saying that the Bills not only can play to win better than us, they can even play to lose better than us!

But if sanders and ward are taken before us that means carter or hunter are there at 4, in that scenario i wouldn’t trade down barring a massive overpay .

Losing #1 really sucks though yeah, my coping mechanism is mayo did get fired so i at least got half of what i really wanted that week.

Just another day for the Jests neverending rebuild..
This will go on and on and on and on... they will still suck.

Isn't that the grand gift they bequeath upon us? Giving us a never-ending supply of screwups to laugh at over the years.

It was clearly obvious he had a down year his last year in Green Bay and his career is in decline...which is what I said here the day the Jete signed him.
I think most of us did.

yes and no.
if you use a QB rating number as a simple way to compare seasons, Rodgers from 2015-2024 had ratings of; 93,97,97, 95, 91, 91. he also had 104, 112, 122. he also had his injured year. so over the past 10 years, he has been very good to elite, along with 3 HOF type seasons.
his last season in GB was a down year for him. rating of 91. his last season (Jets) also was a 91.
agree with you. not a usual Rodgers season, but still very good. and he was injured for mush of last season.
if he and Adams go to the Raiders, it could be interesting.

And he wouldn't have to face SF ( his white whale)in a potential playoff game.

Yeah, the majority of his stat were down across the board his last season in GB in 2022. Feel free to compare with the 17 game averages at the bottom of the screenshot (when I originally made the comment about his decline 2 years ago, his 17 game averages were actually slightly higher before his 2024 season)...

I am agreeing with you, the past few seasons, including his last in GB, were not his HOF type seasons. but they were within his norm's, albeit the lower end of his norm.
my point is that his lower end of norm, is still very good, and he at least in my opinion is the top QB available this offseason.
I don't think his salary will be a factor to a new team. is he healthy and still interested. if he is, he could be in the playoffs next year

I respect your opinion. I just happen to believe he's basically going to be Joe Flacco going forward. We shall see.
