NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Super Bowl LIX Game Day Thread: KC ChiRefs vs Philadelphia Eagles

The Chiefs looked like they were partying all week where as the Eagles looked focused. Chiefs outcoached too.

Never said Reid > Belichick but he would have been on the radar among the greats in that conversation if they had won. Didn't happen so it's moot.

Reid is also a lot more successful with multiple QB's than Bill was.
Do you think he's going to catch him still though?

Yes but not for the reasons you think because 4-2 > 4-0
You're right I do believe that but based on the crap that we had to argue (there were plenty of people out there who thought otherwise when it was TB being debated) so I have no shame reminding people of the those standards now.

Why would you argue something you know is wrong because someone wrongly argued it before?

Because it's all pretty subjective and if I know a large part of the population thought one way in the past I don't think it's wrong to expect the same standards.

Sure one would hope people smarten up but that's not what's happening. People are forgetting Montana because he's not the lead anymore but without Brady these debates absolutely would be made.

Not to mention 4-2 > 4-0 but he's to get to 4 first.

All that and I think I could have just said a little devil's advocate can be a healthy thing for any debate.

I gave him some crap last night. He's supposed to be the guy who unseats Bill lol. 3-3 and Bill handed him one of those losses. There is no way Andy wins another 3. I think at best he loses one more SB. Can Mahomes win one without him will then be the next question?

I think it might be over for them this will be tough to recover from and I don't think anyone appreciates how hard it was that Brady and Bill were able to reinvent themselves twice after the first dynasty.
Remember that for ANY team, losing a SB can be tough to recover from.

If they don't address their weaknesses, I don't think so. There are many teams in the AFC alone that could seriously threaten them if they address their weaknesses like the Bengals, Ravens and Bills.

KC needs to address the OL, WR's and RB. They went on a nice honeymoon neglecting the offense, but it finally reared it's ugly head. If the defense doesn't play lights out, the offense can't overcome a lead - especially when facing a talented defense.

That was a big win for the Pats and Brady.

KC is still 2 titles away from the Pats (they could still catch us) and Mahomes is 4 titles away from Brady (that one's ovah baby)
I've only read the last 5 pages in this thread so someone might have already said something about Gronk's comment during the halftime break when Gronk said something like "we'll see if Mahomes has any Brady in him and if Reid has any Belichick in him." Well in last night's case, the answer was a solid no!

At the beginning of the second half, I was thinking about 28-3 and about the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history of which also almost gave me a heart attack LOL. Edelman, White, Amendola, Mitchell, Hightower, Flowers, Chung, Ryan, and too many others to mention who were all led by Belichick and Brady each played their part in the most exciting comeback in Super Bowl History. Nobody can ever take that away and I've never been more proud to be a lifetime Patriots fan.

KC has had a good run but it ended with a thud last night. . .

Anyone thought the halftime show was the worst they’ve ever seen?

Gen Z’s preferred rapper Kendrick Lamar is the most overrated rapper of all time. This guy would be a complete afterthought in the golden era of rap in the 90’s.

99% of those same golden era rappers see him as one of the best to ever do it lol. Kendrick is widely accepted as the top of the top.

I wish more teams in the AFC would have the same attitude as Philly. They have a badass roster but at the same time they were on a mission. They lined up, punched Mahomes in the mouth and kicked him while he was down on the mat. They clearly weren’t afraid of KC’s mystique/presence.

Yup.. just like the Pats in 01, Giants in 07 etc.. sometimes you have to punch the bully right in the mouth

They are just being nice and they'd look bitter if they said otherwise. We're in a completely different era where woke has taken over. The best rappers were not wining grammy's like this guy.

It's like if Joe Montana said Brady sucked.

Well he kinda did always deny Brady being better... So eh.

And no, it is just the truth: Kendrick is really goddamn good. TBH he isn't my cup of tea, but he is undeniably very talented. His album To Pimp a Butterfly is insane. All of his albums are critically acclaimed. The guy is legit.

I read something that said he's a good headphones rapper. Like he's one of those guys you would want to concentrate on the lyrics and makes good points.

That said, I don't think that's the kind of performer you want at a Super Bowl halftime show to get people dancing in their seats.
