Anyone thought the halftime show was the worst they’ve ever seen?

Gen Z’s preferred rapper Kendrick Lamar is the most overrated rapper of all time. This guy would be a complete afterthought in the golden era of rap in the 90’s.

I am thinking it would be prudent to really focus on building up the middle class through free agency and the draft this year. Don't necessarily need to blow $130M+ in cap this year on several premium guys, because you'll still have holes. Instead, spend $100M on 12+ solid starters, and between them and your draft picks, you can hopefully end up plugging almost all of your roster holes with competent players.

Will you be "excellent" anywhere besides CB and hopefully QB? Probably not, but a roster with a really good QB that's solid everywhere else, and plays smart football, can still be a playoff team. Then you are rolling over ~$30M into 2026, meaning they'd likely still have somewhere in the neighborhood of $70-80M in cap space that year to go ahead and target a few premium guys to take the next step.

That's what I feel I would be okay if we took in the 2nd or 3rd ranked free agent on every category and build the trenches.

Oline - with strange coming back for center I have a feeling that the middle of the line would be rock solid . For RT, let's hope wallace comes through in second year and sign a decent vet backup . For LT - Alaric Jackson should be fine

WR - I am coming to realization that we might not be preferred place for any decent wide receiver . The one we need is someone who is talented but is buried deep in depth chart and couldn't come up like Jennings . I honestly think we should get Meyers from raiders for a 5th /4th round pick and be done with it.

CB - this FA class seems decent. Resign Jonathan Jones and sign rasul Douglas as CB2.

DT - osa odighuzhawa in my mind should be priority 1 in FA

LB - dre greenlaw or nick Bolton

TE- Austin Hooper

Now sign 6 depth pieceswitg high ceiling for all these positions with guaranteed money not exceeding 1 million so that we can get depth during training camp and push rookies and veterans out of their comfort zone to compete against each other . These depth pieces should be played age 25-28 who have been in league for at least 3 years and played at least 10 games. I think this investment will hold well, so that we know if we need to invest in our 4th and 5th rounder or we are better off investing in slightly experienced players.

Eagles won due to coaching the talent out of their comfort zone. We need to do that. If we don't do that no matter how much millions we spend is going to be useless.

As for draft, I just hope we get lucky this year. Looking at last 5 years draft, the last decent draft we had was 2023 and 2020 which produced around 2-3 decent players . 2019, 2021,2022 have been all time duds. We can't afford another 2022 type of draft.

@sb1

How's you're coach take look today? Bill never did anything like that in the SB.

Never said Reid > Belichick but he would have been on the radar among the greats in that conversation if they had won. Didn't happen so it's moot.

Reid is also a lot more successful with multiple QB's than Bill was.

Young 20 somethings at the house party I was at Loved the halftime show and Lamar. We were telling them to YouTube Prince's performance. Haha

This game goes to show the importance of the OL. The patriots will not be able to do anything without a solid OL and to expect them to be successful with the talent they currently have is madness.

Mahomes looked like Mac Jones out there
He was sulking like Corky too.

Biggest takeaway. Did you hear Lurie say he has 200 people working in that front office?
With Bill gone will Kraft pony up the cash to build this kind of infrastructure?
The Eagles figured it out. They will be in the SB discussion for the next decade at least.

So that MahomestoKelce dude isn't gonna show up and pretend not to gloat during a generational ass whooping?

Meanwhile if the score is reversed we'd all have to witness his weird flexing for some reason.
He'll probably change his name to VrabeltoMaye just wait for it. Knowing him it's probably HurtstoBrown..

4-0 > 3-2

As much as I appreciated watching Montana in his prime, I've always had a problem with using the 'Montana 4-0' in Super Bowls argument for him being the GOAT. He gets rewarded for the times he didn't get there? Those 3 straight one n done's between SB victories 2 and 3 are conveniently swept under the rug? Don't misunderstand me, Montana is on my Rushmore of QB's and to just watch play the position he's among my all time favorite non Patriot QB's but the idea he gets a pass for the years he didn't get to the SB while other QB's have SB losses held against them is a **** sports argument. Yeah the ring's the thing but you have to get there to win one.

I'll give Mahomie this much (the devil's due I guess we could call it) if someone had the misfortune of being born a Chiebras fan, Kermit has certainly been fun for them to watch, like Kelly or Marino were to Bills and Fish fans but with some Lombardis added in. Brady is the ultimate NFL winner, a straight up precision assassin in shoulder pads but I have to admit while his death of a 1,000 cuts was manna to the football soul of Pats fans, I don't know as even Brady was as fun to watch as in his prime Grogan was to me. All these years later I remember the joyful fun of watching Grogan's Pats with the same sense of fan satisfaction I have for Brady's SB runs.

Good morning.. Just happy to laugh at the Chiefs Choking

A 3peat would have been tough to stomach

This is Mahomes and Reids 2007.. Let's see how the come back from it...Will they be true contenders moving forward or was this the end?

I think they'll continue to be in the mix but the "dynasty" is ovah
That was a big win for the Pats and Brady.

KC is still 2 titles away from the Pats (they could still catch us) and Mahomes is 4 titles away from Brady (that one's ovah baby)

I saw Grogan at The Hilltop Steak House in Saugus right after he was benched. He was not a happy camper and his associate apologized to me for the way he stormed by when I tried to talk to him.

I wonder if the Chiefs are so used to not getting penalized for egregious calls and knowing that almost whatever they do the laundry is going to come out and help them when needed. Last night they saw that BS OPI call on Brown and probably were like, okay they still got us.

Then the first couple calls starting not going their way on 3rd and longs. Holding calls, not one roughing the passers..and gasp they held the Chiefs from snapping for a possible substitution.

The Chiefs finally got called like a legit NFL team and they had no idea how to react. They have for years been conditioned to the NFL giving them the nudge they needed and playing loose with the rules that they got steamrolled when they were called properly. Question now is, will the NFL go back to it's ways next year?

I don't know.

Under the circumstances you'd probably have forgiven him for running over your dog.
The last few years of Grogan's career were a bitter pill to swallow for those of us that genuinely appreciated the way he left it all on the field. Berry and Rust both should have done better by him...

I’m not surprised as they really don’t know any better. They have no idea what good rap is.

It’s interesting because if you go to a game the music is mostly targeted to the 50-ish year olds.
The SB with the large tv audience apparently is trying to attract the younger crowd and gain new fans.
