First Meaningless 2025 Mock

Bro you're impossible to please lol. Bond has all the skills I look for in a Z. He'd instantly be our most explosive WR. Are you going to hold AJ Brown's post-season against him, too? Go look at his game logs prior to the championship. You have to look at traits, not react against something outside of his control.
Ok so I'll meet you halfway what about us having both: Bond and Golden. I hear he had an ankle injury that slowed him some but he checks the boxes. It would be like us having Two Xavier Worthy's...I can accept that.

I know it's unrealistic but trading back in the 2nd to max out the value where I select Conerly/Ersery has earned me a boatload of talent on the backend of every mock!

Here's my question to you and everyone. Who would need to be on the board at 38 to prevent you from trading back (realistic answers only please)?

In answer to my own question

Assuming we've drafted Hunter or Carter at 4

If the following somehow fall to 38:

Walter Nolen
Kenneth Grant
Josh Simmons - would need to be comfortable with his injury status
Donovan Jackson
Jihaad Campbell
Grey Zabel
Josh Conerly

Need to think more about:

Matthew Golden
Emeka Egbuka
Luther Burdon
Elijah Arroyo
Jack Sawyer
Donovan Ezeiruaku
TJ Sanders

Used Daniel Jeremiah's top 50 as the source for rankings.

It's obviously going to fluctuate 100 times until draft day lol but Simmons would be my first choice. Is Tyler Warren unrealistic at this point? Kenneth Grant?

Need to come up with a big board for each round. But with pencil until we get to April

DJ had Warren as his 5th overall pick so his stock is clearly way way up right now. I agree it's too early but I tried to pick positions (linebacker, run defending DTs) that might drop on draft day.

Post-Shrine/Senior Bowl, as of 02-05:

20.Kelvin Banks Jr. OT Texas

38.Kenneth Grant DT Michigan

51.Princely Umanmielen EDGE Ole Miss

71.Jayden Higgins WR Iowa State

92.Cam Skattebo RB Arizona State

105.Anthony Belton OT NC State

121.Carson Schwesinger LB UCLA

136.Jack Bech WR TCU

145.Luke Lachey TE Iowa

176.Justin Walley CB Minnesota

187.Craig Woodson S California

210.Willie Lampkin OG North Carolina

212.Nohl Williams CB California

236.Sai'vion Jones EDGE LSU

2026 DEN 2nd
2026 NO 3rd
2026 NO 4th
2026 NYJ 5th

Usual disclaimer: A lot can and will change before the draft; and those changes, including our success - or, more likely than not, our lack of it - during the free agency period before the draft, will play a big role in determining our overall positional priorities, especially within the top 100.

Also, I realize that a lot of these players will have already been taken by the time I make these picks in 3 months, especially the first two and last two; but hey ya gotta play the cards you're dealt...

Bech and Jayden Higgins would be a fun combo.

I LOVE the 3 OTs and all the Front-6 defenders; and I also really like Bech there... But this means we would've had to have hit a Home Run at WR during the free agency period too, I hope.

Profootball I find it the most user friendly but they still have guys that aren't even eligible lol

It still shows the OT from Florida, Austin Barber, as available but I think he's already stated that he's returning to school...?

every mock i run i'm able to get T Zabel in the 2nd.....although his stock is rising at the senior bowl, i just wonder if the gap between the top couple tackles and guys like zabel or hollin pierce is big enough to take a tackle early

Zabel's not gonna be a Tackle in the NFL, but he did a heckuva job at IOL during Senior Bowl week.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see Manx's comment before posting.

there's little chance he's around that deep from what i'm reading.......there's talk of him climbing well into the top half of the first.....but he's quickly becoming someone i like

meaning i just started paying attention to him yesterday and now i want him

Are you thinking of Bond, or his teammate Matthew Golden?

Edit: Once again, I'm late to the party; sorry!

Bech and Jayden Higgins would be a fun combo.

I could've had Higgins' Iowa State teammate Jaylin Noel at 136, and it was a tough decision, but I preferred the inside/outside versatility of Bech as a compliment to Higgins there. Now if this front orifice can add a couple of good - if not Tee Higgins good - WRs during free agency before the draft such as Darius Slayton & Brandon Cooks 2.0, then even an idiot ******* like ****ing Downing should be able to work with that group...

I must have missed something about Downing?? Why disdain for him??

I am all in on TJ Sanders or Jihaad Campbell or Golden. I also think we should trade for Kupp
