Another interesting tidbit:

Noticed a fair amount of players wearing Guardian Caps last season. I don't know how many players wore them or how that might have affected the numbers, but I would say anything that helps the players be less susceptible to those - especially guys who have past histories already - is definitely a good thing.

Tua should be wearing one….like you said, whatever helps. Hey since concussions are down, let’s let the D hit again! . /s

This is a good thing - but part of me wonders how much of it is teams getting better at hiding signs to avoid important players being taken from the game.

It is a good thing but I think teams are still pushing players through concussion protocol. For example last week Christian Bedford was in concussion protocol all week and then after a few series, made a tackle and was pretty much knocked out on his feet. The poor guy was strapped to a golf cart to keep him from falling out on his way to the locker room.

Yeah…the NFL itself is the source so I’m skeptical.

You’ll never remove concussions unless you switch to flag.

It’s repeat ones that should be more avoidable bit players have some responsibility here (ahem…looking at you Tua)

I wonder how much of this drop is due to the kickoff rule change? They probably have that data about the sources of concussions. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of the drop is associated with that.

Not only the teams but players don’t want to come out as well and I get it. Whether it’s losing pay or thinking they don’t look “tough”, I’m sure many get their bells rung and never say a thing. Personally, I would be doing the same. Having to make the most of a once in a familial generation talent means you may have to and possibly have some bad side effects…

IRDGAS TBO.
**** these ****s that make 10-20 Million dollars per year.
My fkn heart bleeds for these poor souls.
If you play, you take a chance that you are WELL AWARE BEFORE YOU WALK OUT THERE.
If you get beatup, you come out....who fkn cares.

Electronically tracked since 2015, huh. Were they tracked with pencil and paper before that?…
