Get paid and spend a year three years, maybe even four, being coached by BB and his staff who have also coached at the NFL level. No brainer.

I'd honestly be surprised if people know of Lombardi outside the football world just given he's an ancient name at this point and Belichick is more recent. Mf'er died in 1970 and it's been multiple generations since then - I've spoken to kids today who don't really even know who Lady Gaga is LOL. Belichick just appears in the news, you kinda gotta dig yourself to learn about Lombardi.

In fact, I think the argument would stand the other way around: in the football world, Lombardi is a massive icon, bigger than Bill.

Reporting something that Florio himself says could never be said is par for the course for Florio.

I don't think UNC was Bill's first choice. I think he probably did his homework and felt he wasn't getting a NFL job so he took UNC. But once he chose I think he's been all in and I don't think he was ever leaving them at the alter. Maybe a quick divorce next year but even that I doubt I think this is his last stop.

I believe that no one in the NFL is going to hand over the keys to the car to a guy who's going to do a massive upheaval on the franchise that comes with the Bill Belichick Way, just to be done in a year or two.
