SB 59 Chiefs vs Eagles

There isn't one team clutch enough or smart enough to beat em so the bad calls by the refs haven't even been a factor yet.
The refs carried them all year, and then they managed to get nor 1 but 2 spot calls wrong during the AFC championship, giving them the ball back

Philly is getting points. Take the points to the bank.
These Chiefs people have 2 weeks to come to terms with the end of their mini dynasty.
I'm not a Chiefs fan but you can't discount what they've done. We can ***** about refs all we want, but history won't care.

I'm rooting for a deadly meteor. Barring that I'm pulling for Philly, but just like with Brady, until someone beats Mahomes when it matters I simply cannot pick against the Chefs.

If KC wins that will be 4 championships in 5 appearances in 6 years. If that isn't a dynasty I don't know what is.

There won't be a case for Montana at #2 if Mahomes wins. That ship will have saved.

It'll be:

Brady
Mahomes
Montana
The rest

It is a dynasty. No doubt. Greatest in NFL history.

The question is what it does for the Brady vs Mahomes debate.

Gtfoh with the greatest nonsense. While the NFL has been helping the chiefs get across the finish line they were taking away multiple draft picks to stop us. And they failed.

Why didn't Allen change the play or call TO when he saw the Chiefs amass numbers on the Bills left side?

Allen went left on the failed controversial 4th and 1 play too.

I don't like that Tush Push play anyway.
It will be interesting during the Super Bowl when it’s time for the Eagles to attempt the tush push considering the success the Chiefs had stopping it against the Bills.

The Eagles are way better at performing it than the Bills. Having a QB who can squat thrust 600+ lbs. certainly helps.

I did not say that. They are a dynasty, but the conversation of if they're the greatest is its own thread.

Sorry, Mahomes is nowhere close to Brady yet.

If they win the SB you can make the case for greatest dynasty over a 6 year period BUT the pats dynasty was over a 20 year period, they have a long way to go to match that extended period of success. They might get there but it will take lots of time

Doesn't change much but I think Reid will show up on the radar for the GOAT coach discussion.
Hard to argue. Reid has really grown as a coach. My knock on him used to be horrible clock management late in games, but he seems to have grown out of that. He also surrounds himself with excellent support personnel. The results can't be disputed. He isn't past BB yet for GOAT but I could see that happening well before Mahomes passes Brady.

One could argue the Steelers (4 chips in 6 years in the 70s) perhaps for a 6-year run but I would probably give the nod to the Chefs for best 6 year run. But I agree, the sheer volume of success over a 20 year period by the Pats will never be duplicated, and no one else is even close.

Has Mahomes brought a team back from 28-3 late in the 3rd period to win a super bowl? I don't think so, Mahomes is great but is he Brady great, don't think so.

So essentially Mahomes needs to win 8 titles to surpass Brady.

Because Brady beat him twice in the postseason and never lost to him?

40+ yr old Brady beat mahomes head to head twice in the playoffs. That should end the debate.
Who is Showtime 15 laughing at your remark?

I ask as I hadn't seen/heard from them before.

If he three peats, gets 2 more MVPs, at least 6 rings and breaks some career stats then we can have a conversation. Still longs way to go but he's on a good pace.

When this conversation was about Brady vs Montana, in the minds of a lot of people Brady needed 5 to become GOAT...

Brady being 2-0 in the playoffs vs Mahomes is a steep hill to climb especially with one of them being a rout. Brady also won 2 rings in 3 SB appearances after age 40. That's unprecedented in not just football but pro sports. Mahomes is young so he's got lots of time. I'd also like to see Mahomes lead an amazing comeback or a game winning drive in a huge spot first like Brady and Montana did. Also wouldn't hurt if he did it away from Reid. He might get that chance at some point.
