Well remember at Michigan there were fliers a girl made saying Peppers refused to use confoms cause he claimed he was allergic to them and he was passing out STDs.

That's not bribing. A settlement was offered and refused.

Peppers is not being tried for bribing a witness.

How does an accused offer a witness a settlement in a criminal case?

I thought the video was of him telling her to leave? Unless he has a video that shows at no point did he assault her, then that video does not cut it.

Also, it is believable that he would lose control while being high when the woman was getting repeated calls or texts from some other guy.

Either way, he is not good enough to justify the downside of this mess while we are by no means a strong team with a strong culture.

Took the jury 13 minutes to find Peppers not guilty on the DV charge.

If convicted, it seems that he will still have a career. The is issues are punishment by the court and by the NFL.

It's a different form of justice: the victim decides the settlement is enough. The prosecution could subpoena her, but that rarely happens in domestic violence cases, and when it does, they often don't get the testimony they need out of the witness. The prosecution could try to move forward without her testimony, but here there's no case without it.

His career? It definitely could be over. Surely now that Mayo is fired and Vrabel is running the show, he will be gone from the Pats. The Raiders like that type of the player, though. The problem is that he'll be suspended for some time, and the meter is clicking on his career. He'll be 30 this year, and safeties in the NFL start to decline shortly after 30. After his playing days are over, I doubt media companies will want to hire a cokehead woman beater with poor impulse control. Sounds like a liability, not an asset.

Not saying this case specifically, but just because he’s not found guilty isn’t proof she lied and can be tried for it.

Law isn’t black and white like that. He’s found not guilty. We’d need proof she lied not lack of proof he’s guilty.
