This has been bothering me since Peppers was suspended for a suspected domestic violence charge. Peppers was IMMEDIATELY suspended. I guess I could see the punishment, but what I wondered was WHY was RRice never suspended after he was racing on a public highway, caused an accident that caused injury, and then fled the scene of the accident. When someone asked the question of the NFL they responded by saying they are not doing anything until the case is adjudicated.
So, Peppers whose case has never gone to court and been resolved suffered an immediate 5 game suspension, Rice has seemingly gotten a pass from the league for a serious crime. Now I had kind of forgotten about it because Rice was injured early in the season (thank you Karma), but he it is now looking like he could return in the Playoffs. Remember this accident happened in MARCH and somehow has YET to be resolved. Why is that?
Why was the league so quick to jump on Peppers and turned a blind eye on Rice. BTW- now that we know that Peppers legal issues will be resolved one way or another soon it begs the question of why Peppers can get his case resolved in about 3 months and Rice can't face the courts 9 and a half months later. Rodger Goodell "justice" at it's best
