NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Divisional playoffs discussion

Bills put up 48 on the Lions… that was probably a sign their banged up defense wasn’t at a SB level.

In this game their offense also had an off game at the wrong time much like the 2010 Patriots.

Felt the same way about the Vikings heading off into the playoffs, getting walloped by the Lions. When defenses show cracks in late season games, it's not a great promise for their post season success. Defense can always keep a game close.

Also doesn't help to have so many turnovers.

LOL, the commanders are actually good. But even more so, they are fun to watch. There have been multiple games this season that were extremely exciting, from the Hail Mary on down. Its been actually fun.

With the help they get from the refs the Chiefs are well on their way to earning an * in my book for their championship if they do win it all. That’s bad for them and for the NFL. Perception often is reality.

The Chiefs are a pretty good team without the refs help. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a team to win on talent and not with the refs help.

Are the Chiefs as hated as we were? I know I hate them. My daughter practically vomits at the thought of the Chiefs in the SB yet again and she’s a huge Swift fan.

I think the Pats were hated mostly because of fatigue. Fans were tired of us being at or near the top for so long. 20 years is a long time.

At this point I'm outright nihilistic over this dumb ass sport. I just don't see how the Chiefs lose if this fu.cking league continues to hold everything they do on the field to a different standard than their opponent. Regardless of it's Mahomes vs Allen or Lamar you KNOW there will be plays with Mahomes running that get a defensive penalty while Allen or Lamar on the same exact kind of play wont get the call.

Just googling around, last night has REALLY pissed off a lot of people who have nothing to do with Boston Sports. That flop was like a breaking point. They are easily as hated as the Pats ever were and considering social media is way bigger today then during the Pats run I think it might be more.

At the end of the day, every team left has had 1-2 games in which their D was scorched in December/Jan by a playoff team playing their starters- except two. Chiefs and Ravens.

Rams allowed 42 to the Bills
Bills allowed 44 to the Rams
Philly allowed 36 to WASH
WASH allowed 31 500+ yds to DET

I like BUF over BAL today but it could easily go BALs way. Their D is playing better and BUF can be run on (271yds vs BAL 9/29)

I think they're way more hated. People think the Patriots cheated.

They think the NFL cheats FOR the Chiefs.

Which is way worse.

I never actually thought about it this way.

Troy Aikman’s disgust over the roughing call is definitely getting a lot of headlines. It’s completely ridiculous. Add in Kelce fatigue and I really just want the Chiefs to go TF away.

Washington has a HC and OC who were both previous HCs. That is huge for a rookie QB.. Drake will have the same once McDaniels comes back. Washington even with Sam Howell had a better roster than we did.. thier issues were coaching and ownership. Daniels walked into a great situation.. great HC and OC, a solid roster and a number 1 WR.. Drake had none! Detroit defense is what failed them.. they lost far to much on defense.. Washington is what a rebuilt team looks like.
We could have signed Wash's GM and. Coaches. We got Mayo and Wolf instead.

And to think there are people here who insist rebuilding has to be a long, drawn out process.

Get the right people in the front office, get the right coaches and get the right players and anyone can become a contender overnight. Period.
Agreed. This 3 year rebuild is complete rubbish. With our amount of cap dollars the 3 year rebuild is even more deeply rubbish.

If media is speaking up like this the NFL has a problem.

I know... Washington had a far better roster then we do even with Sam Howell.. go figure they traded thier 2 stud edge rushers ans still beat us.

We have..

  • A good HC
  • $130m in cap space to sign good players
  • 9 draft picks w the 4th overall
  • A Qb that can only get better with quality players at the skill positions, good O line, and solid OC/Qb coach.
  • An All Pro CB
If they nail 1/2 of that list in 2025 i'll be pretty happy.

It might have something to do with our drafting and GM?
