Coach Jerod Mayo appreciation thread

I appreciate that he gives hope to incompetent swindlers everywhere. If Mayo could squirm his way into being HC of the Patriots, you can do anything.

He did it by targeting an elderly man, sadly.

He was not ready at all. He deserved to be fired. That said he is a total scapegoat. The organization itself is a mess including the GM and owners.
If he's a "total scapegoat" than he didn't deserve to be fired. Choose.

I've never seen an NFL HC more consistently confused on the sideline. He truly did not know how to process what he was seeing. That level of incompetence was appreciated by our division rivals, for sure.

I appreciate that he so misunderstood his role that he ruined the tank job of the last game and illustrated how clearly he had to go. It couldn’t even wait until Monday. That’s how good he was at sucking.

I appreciate how fired up he got the fanbase. Most fans really disliked Mayo, and it was impressive how quickly and how thoroughly he alienated Pats fans. No BS- it made rooting for the team kind of fun at times this year.

Losing draft capital by winning that last game is going to stick with me for awhile. That set us back.

After winning that last game
I appreciate nothing about him
Time to move Jerod
You will be one of the top 3 hated athletes in Boston after that move

Will always like Mayo, even after last season, he came to a team with a bare cupboard and with the exception of Maye a mediocre draft... he had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for AVP...
He made a lot of mistakes, but appreciate the effort considering how little there was to work with and how little there was to work with.
Still have never heard who was in his ear in the press box, certainly was not an Ernie Adams clone..
I wish him well..

I appreciate the Mayo’s love and passion for the NEP. He always seemed to genuinely care about the organization. Other than that, not much to appreciate. A part of me feels bad for the guy and his entire staff but they got paid very well and will continue to get paid well to give us a **** season that we will never get back. Whelp, they tried. It just wasn’t nearly good enough. Hopefully Kraft learned a hard lesson. Buckle up Wolf. You’ve run out of fall guys. Better knock it outta the park this offseason.

He should have left. He needed to broaden his horizons. He only experienced success as a player here. Less of it once he came on as a coach but it still went playoffs in year 1, a not-terrible 7-9 record in year 2, playoffs in year 3, missed playoffs by 1 game in year 4 so it's not like it was a trainwreck either. Last two years are the only years in his professional career he's been around failure and doesn't seem he knew how to handle it. You can be a "players coach" but you need to balance that. Who could he have learned from how to balance that? I don't think coaching under BB was good for him. It was just such a total opposite in style. He'd have been better off learning from a coach more like him so he could have learned how to operate within that style.

I was cool with his hiring with the assumption that he had some Xs and Os capability on the Defensive side of the ball. Wasn't the case.

He taught the organization what abysmal failure and terrible leadership look like.
Thank You Jerod.

I appreciate that Mayo exposed Bob Kraft as the CEO and GM of the Patriots and that he can't be trusted.

Lied about Brady losing his fast ball. Lied about the Orchid Hour Spa. Lied about NFL teams calling him to hire Mayo the LB coach. Lied about BB in his documentary.

What sizes can I buy one lol
Nah man... One is a standard blue, the other is a neat one I found on eBay many years ago in the color scheme of Super Bowl XLII, it's like white and maroon, with teal stitching, it has Super Bowl XLII patches on it and stuff. (Granted... that was the game they lost the undefeated season, but.... it's still a cool jersey...)

Looks like this, but Vrabel's name and # instead of Tom:

Of all the head coaches in the NFL, Jerod Mayo certainly was one of them.

I liked wearing the Mayo because it was the first dynasty blue too guess I have to go to eBay

Nope. I got nothing. He lost me at Thunder. What idiot says that in a press conference?
