Sounds like he's going to give it a try next year so that's some added comp at center.
In another quote he said that he is looking to play through the 2027 season and wants to play with Drake.

I think that would be good, keep giving Strange practice at Center as a break-glass option but otherwise scoot him back over to Left Guard and also draft a Center. Probably keep Jake Andrews around as a layer too in both positions in camp and see how it goes.

This makes no sense. Who was hurt? Bentley, Barmore? That's about it. They had everyone else and they were a lot better last year on defense, it has nothing to do with injury. People being new? Who was new?? The safeties..? It wasn't a safety issue on run defense... "One, two plays can make a difference" is loser talk that Mayo has soaked into this team. They were nowhere close to being one or two plays away.

Being a good coach has a lot more to do with being "a positive happy person". Wise is delusional, he sounds like he is personally in love with Jerod here. This was taken right out of his diary.

Sounds like he just came out of a Tony Robbins session...

The bureaucracy that Curran implies is the Krafts are not astute enough to run the football operation and need a CEO-type with a football brain to do it. Think a Howie Roseman, John Elway, Carmen Policy type.
I agree re the Krfats' acknowledged inability to run the football stuff. I do NOT think hiring some overlord to muddy up the lines of communication and lines of authority is a good idea. The team needs a strong HC/GM pair, It does not need some designated meddler cluttering up the organizational chart and wasting time kissing the owners' rear.

I’m not sure what the issue is here, Ross — they were just one or two plays away each series from it being a success!

IIRC they said the same thing about Pete Carroll. Nice guy, etc.

As of right now, and it will wear off, I hate Mayo. I believe he schemed last year to take Belichick’s job. I think he undermined him with players, coaches, staff, and Kraft. I think he leaked dirt all year to Tom Curran. He got his way and then was miles over his head as head coach. He has no idea how to even do the job.

Then knowing he was going to be fired, screwed the organization and its fans over by playing too many starters late against 2nd and 3rd stringers in a meaningless game which cost us the number one pick. We went from the first overall to fourth that is a huge difference. We could have easily traded down from 1 to 3 or 4 and added a couple of early rounders which would have been huge in the rebuilding process. I don’t know if he did it out of spite or stupidity, but he screwed us. F him.

If it isn't true the stadium situation was nothing but a leverage tool then why would a slick operator like Stan Kroenke have paid half a billion dollars to the city and his 'league partners' have been forced to cough up another almost $300M for acting in bad faith? The city actually came up with a plan to address every (cough) 'concern' Kroenke brought forward and he ignored it. It would seem you are not as familiar with what went on there as you may think you are. Kroenke was a thorough snake in his dealings with the city and the league throughout that entire mess. More than 3/4's of a billion in settlement money paid to St Louis by an owner and league who don't usually open the vault to outsiders without a hella fight should tell anyone all they need to know about what went on there.

Continuous improvements have been made at Gillette, unlike Everbank in Jacksonville which was not an NFL calber stadium when it opened and not upgraded much over the past 30 years. Gillete is not a world class facility, neither is it antiquated. It is also located in Foxborugh, not exactly a world class city with a population of millions looking for something to do on the reg. Outside of the traffic on Rte 1 as a STH (although I admit our sons have been using them the last couple of years) I've got no real ***** with Gillette as a physical stadium and with the completion of the new training facility neither will any of the players. When Gillette is replaced hopefully the new facility will be in or adjacent to Boston where a megastadium might be financially viable.

This team has a legion of problems to address, the stadium isn't one of them.

It's old. And in 10 years it will be a dump.

You know I just realized that firing Mayo saved the Pats from being forced onto Hard Knocks next year.
Thank God, otherwise it would be the Robert Kraft show 24/7 like the Dynasty series.

Although it would be interesting to see how many times Mayo told the group something in camp meetings, and then walk it back at the next day’s camp meeting.

Going into Monday I have to credit Kraft even more. I did not realize the **** storm he was going to face in the media for firing Mayo. I assumed most outlets would simply say "yeah he was a bad coach" but a lot of places are saying "he didn't get a fair chance", "the roster wasn't good enough, that's Kraft's fault"... blah blah blah.

I have heard multiple times, throughout the year and again today, that "Mayo didn't get to build his own staff" which is just a blatant lie. He absolutely COULD HAVE, he was just INCAPABLE OF DOING SO. He did not know anyone, he had no connections. He hired Covington because that was his only connection. His only OC connection was Nick Caley, and Caley told him to get bent. So he had to turn to Wolf for help. That is definitely not a case of being disallowed from building his own staff. Seems like ******** someone in his camp is feeding outlets.

Regardless, again, credit to Kraft as he must have known he would need to take this heat which probably hurts his HOF bid. Although another **** season next year also would have hurt it, which he must have realized too. The fastest way to fix that is to win.
Kraft has made some mistakes with this team but he deserves credit for realizing his mistake with Mayo.

Yeah, I'm done having a discussion with someone who has no f'n idea what they're talking about and can't just take the 'L' and move along. Feel free to declare victory or whatever. Also feel free to maybe try actually going to Gillette and a few other stadiums. Not only would it do you some good to get out but you'd be amazed how good a game day experience can be when you actually experience one. The Ralph or whatever they're calling it this week may be the ****iest stadium in the league but it's a hella good time.

It actually makes me sad that they're replacing the Buffalo stadium because it's really charming.

You weren't done when someone asked has anyone else had a new stadium built who also had one built in and around the same time the patriots did?

Instead of accepting that the Rams did, which they did, you wrote like 3 books of nonsense on why it happened when that wasn't the question.
