Will Eliot Wolf survive the week?

There's zero chance he usurps Maye.
Yeah definitely right there…but maybe he will go elsewhere and get it going …time will tell. Thx

What do you mean about Cleveland firing their OC? What does that have to do with Van Punt?
No some sports blog claimed Van Pelt was fired like 2 hours ago.
I didn’t post it cause I question the validity.

He is going to be fired. Does Vrabel or Ben Johnson want Wolfe as their GM?

1) Yes, we should hire a GM.

2) The new GM should a huge input on who should be the next HC. Obviously the ownership will have some say, ceratainly they will have veto power.

2) NO, Vrabel or Johnson should not be the GM or have the decision or ANY say on who is the GM.

3) Wolf's position is NOT as the patriot's GM and so he might every well keep his job.

I feel sorry you got a hard on for a career back up QB in a throw away game from a team who gave you every opportunity to win it.

Today's take away isn't Milton.
Hmm.

I think that finding a backup QB is indeed a takeaway from this game. if Milton is judged not worthy, we SHOULD pay significant resources to get a veteran backup as Buffalo has. It was indeed a position of 2025 need before the game.

I'm telling you that you can't judge what he did today because the bills did not present a professional presentation.

We had three guys at almost 300 yards combined total. One 100 yard receiver and two 95 yard receivers.

We hadn't had a single 100 yard receiver in 2 years. We had almost 3 in ONE game. We're not the greatest show in turf out here.

That isn't Milton and the boys figuring it out. That's the Bills laughing in your face for falling for the bait.

According to Breer he's not yet fired and I'm extremely worried we're gonna make the same mistake we made last year.

WHOEVER they hire as a coach has to come with a package deal with a GM, right? Or is that too much money in one off-season for Kraft to swallow?

The front office needs to remain intact for a while yet to continue ongoing draft evaluations and help facilitate the coaching changeover. So don't be anxious for changes there 'til at least the new HC is in place and perhaps longer, even if the new HC has his own GM in mind.

To be clear, you would go out and hire a veteran QB capable of starting a few games, a better veteran than Brissett?

I did NOT say that Milton did a great job and that he is an accomplished NFL QB. HOWEVER, he had certain deficiencies in training camp. He was virtually hopeless in the short passing game and in the recognition of defense. It seems that someone has coached him up. He was accurate for the first time.

I was surprised to see VP go. One of the new coach's major responsibilities will be to find an OC and QB coach who can continue to mentor and deveop Maye and Milton, our #1 and QB hopefully #2 QB for at least the next three years.

What im saying is that Milton performance today isn't a indication that wolf can draft well or should keep his job.

Vrabel probably has his own guy in mind but Wolf actually could be a decent match based on having worked with Bill and the assumption that there would be some sort of overlap in the type of players Vrabel would want too.

Just trying to reach for any justification.

Can't see any HC coming that is worth anything not wanting his own GM to come with him. Forced marriages don't work and have proven not to work.

I would pay AVP through the nose to stay on as QB coach. Or TC or whomever. Keep someone Maye is extremely comfortable with.
One of the things I like the best about Drake Maye is I think he’s “comfortable “ around people naturally.

It's much easier to can the coaching staff than the GM and scouts, they have basically done a years work on the draft there's no time for a new GM and scouting staff to be hired and do all that work.

It doesn't mean they're safe for 2025 season, it means they're safe for today.

I agree.

Of course, we don't have a GM, so hiring a GM wouldn't necessarily involve firing anyone working on the draft.

There's zero chance he usurps Maye.

No one ever suggested he would take Maye’s job. What many do believe is that strong showings from him increase his value both as a back up and trade bait. They should be drafting a project QB every year to try and develop for both of these reasons, as they are a prized commodity in the NFL.
