Bob and Jon have big balls for this one… The apology in their statement to the fans means a lot. They owned it. I give them a lot of credit for owning it and making it right immediately.

Now it’s about what they do next.

I want a real search. Not just hire Vrabel because it's easy. Interview every top candidate and if a guy like Ben Johnson wants something do whatever it takes.

We hire Vrabel and we're right back here again anyway. He's better than Mayo and will have more accountability but I'm done with defensive mindset head coaching.

While i understand that sentiment i'm not sure we can go with another rookie.

I would also prefer an Offensive coach but i think this team needs experience, structure, discipline and no mixed messaging.

Johnson is touted as the next big thing and maybe he is but the chance of him failing would also have to be reasonably high imo.

I'm not totally against it but i does come with a lot of risk.

I didn't think it had anything to do with today. I figure he was coming back regardless of today's outcome.

I do wonder if this was the final affirmation for Kraft, trying whatever it took to win this game. IE putting Milton in the shotgun and running around instead of just running it up the middle as you did ALL YEAR LONG.

Now, Wolf, Groh and the gang need to go as well. Get rid of the old guard and bring in the new guard. And pay for it.

One game too late (at least!). Those of you who are technologically smart enough to track my post on Mayo's appointment when it was made, will see I said this was a bad move at the very beginning.
I'm glad the Krafts had the guts to make the move. I was worried they'd give him another year for various reasons.

I am not the biggest Vrabel fan and in more in the offensive minded HC but at this point I would take an experienced coach over a first time HC again

At least we'd have a tough team that could run the ball

The chance of a coach who already failed once again failing is high if not much higher.
