I believe that they made the change after a 1-15 season.
It's like giving the whole team a face lift, a fresh start, or exorcising old demons.

The 49ers, Cowboys & Colts did not do that after 1-15 and 2-14 seasons. Packers, Steelers & Raiders did not do that after winning nothing for decades.

The 1993 & '94 unis were the last changes made that were any good, though I never liked the white & gray roadies. Those from '95-'99 sucked, however.

i agree with the 95-99 unis with the singular exception of, and originally pointed out by the rain maker, the 1996 playoff all white uniform is a great uniform... sharp looking, bold colors, crisp to a t.

I’ve only counted seeing the home blueberry pajama look twice this season. At least the Kraft’s finally realized the fans hate that look.

Reintroducing the silver pants on the road is the closest thing we’ve got to the 90’s look. And the silver pants look way better with the home jerseys.

I have a feeling we’re getting new uniforms in 2025.

You are right... twice... we've worn the official uniform 6 times this year... Home Blue on Blue x2 and Road White/Blue x4... not sure what combo we are wearing vs the Bills... thinking maybe the official uni because we've worn it for the afce home games this year... but it sucks, so maybe not

Since I cannot be bothered to look through this to see if I’ve responded before I’ll say it. Always been a fan of red followed by blue in some way. I’m kinda surprised they didn’t revamp everything once BB was gone. I know…years of success and tradition blah blah blah but since we have gone in a totally different direction with literally everything, record, scheme, coaching etc…you’d think they’d want to start something new. I know there’s been tweaks so technically things ARE but I would change EVERYTHING. Logo even possibly. Have to say I’m glad they didn’t use the letterhead looking atrocity that was floating around these parts last year or so. And oh, necro thread is necro!

They made a conscious effort to revamp after Brady left. They were locked in for 5 years binding by NFL rules.

This year they can change their uniforms and they would be absolute morons not to. They have done nothing but lose and breed toxic culture the last 5 years and consequently the uniforms are associated with it.

But more than that, they are ugly as **** and must go.
