2025 Mock Draft FAIL thread

In a vacuum, they're fine, but it's the same sort of ignoring obvious problems that led to BB's firing.

We are past that and into a full rebuild, we just need to get the best talent we can onto the roster....we have very few difference makers anywhere on the team, need to start getting them. Reaching past talent to get needs is what you do when you are close...we aren't close.

Serious question: if the available OTs and WRs when we pick aren't slam dunks, do you take them anyway or pivot to impact defensive players? I'm not trying to be the devil's advocate or play a gotcha game or something. I honestly don't know which way is better. I'm not super impressed with the LT and WR options at the top this year, but we desperately need help there. I'm not sure I see a good path forward. But it's very early in the draft season still.
If the Pats pick high they must come away with a solid player
If they think say WR/OT are too much risk then they must pick BPA
Saying that they will know this ahead of time and must spend money in FA to shore up those positions that are risky in the draft
Let’s face it. They have many holes. Take the sure thing in the 1st round. Then you can start to gamble a bit

Since it's looking very likely that we are picking in the top 5 again I would not be opposed to taking an edge rusher. The rankings of these prospects will change a 100 times from now til April but assuming there is no Joe Alt/MHJ in this class than I would obviously look to trade out but if there's no buyers then take BPA. Outside of a QB obviously and a CB which takes the Heisman trophy winner off my short list.

Of course Nick Wright Wrong had to get in on the action.

A not totally insane scenario: The Patriots fall in love with Shedeur, and instead of trading the #1 pick, they trade Drake for a Top 5 pick. They could then potentially draft Shedeur AND Travis. And then, for the hell of it, fire Mayo & hire Deion!

Hmm. . . . there seems to be a whOLe position missing here, but I can't figure out what it is. . . .

1.4 Travis Hunter, CB/WR Colorado
2.38 Isaiah Bond, WR Texas
3.69 J.T. Tuimoloau, EDGE Ohio State
3.77 Quinshon Judkins, RB Ohio State

I'll take Hunter and Bond....Judkins will be a good RB too

Dane Brugler 2 round mock. I look forward to these because Dane is hearing what actual scouts are telling him and his rankings are often to where the internet scouts are ranking prospects.

1. TEN Cam Ward, QB, Miami
2. CLE Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State
3. NYG Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
4. NE Tet McMillan, WR, Arizona
5. JAX Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
6. LAV. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

30. PHI. JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio St
31. KC. Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
32. DET. Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M

I'd have gone Mason Graham in this spot with Carter off the board. Simmons & Membo being the top two OTs is the most interesting thing for me. Also, quite the run on OL and DT in the first round.

Don't love the Cameron Williams pick. Don't want to have to plug an inexperienced OT starter into this team year one but, admittedly I've yet to watch him. If this is how the board fell, and assuming we've nailed the main needs in FA, I'd be looking at CB or skill position help here (Matthew Golden or TreVeyon). sub-package pass rusher (Princely/the BC guy).

47. ARI. Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
48. MIA Harold Fannin Jr, TE, Bowling Green
49. CIN Marcus Mbow, OL, Purdue
50. SEA Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky

I'd happily take a series of trades that result in these four in the second round. All on my target list of PTP, although I haven't scouted heavily the way we used to in years past.

I've yet to watch Princely and Walker but I'd like the middle two and like the upside of Princely/Walker based on what I've read about them.

I'm actually not opposed to drafting Jeanty but we'd need to do much better on the OL. No interior guys there.
