JETS SUCK 2024 EDITION (OFFICIAL): THE SECOND COMING

Interesting statistic on Christmas Eve 2024: Both the Patriots and Jets have a) a "Woody" at the top of the of the organization chart and b) $6 million in dead cap money in 2025 but the Patriots have $100 million more in projected cap space in 2025 to spend on veterans according to Spotrac. Happy New Year!

I suspect it'll be like Favre, they'll find a face-saving way to get him out of town, hopefully without the **** pics.

Meanwhile another prediction of mine is coming true: the young talent wants out, in this case, Garrett Wilson!

Ahole has so poisoned the atmosphere that everyone wants out.

EDIT: Better link, fix spelling mistake...

To be fair things go quick in the NFL that roster was pretty ready at the start of last season before Rodgers injury. Sit idle for a year without a QB and then have to deal with that QB returning from injury, ayuaska trips, and just being old and the rest of the roster deteriorates pretty quickly.

I think their roster was a lot of 'more name than game' players and still is.

To me it was clear at the start of last season, their weak spot was not being able to protect the QB.

And right on cue at the start of the season the O line gets blown up and Ahole blows out his Achilles.

The various stiffs they had playing after Rodgers (Wilson, Boyle, Siemian) all were running for their lives.

It's not looking much better this season even after using a first round draft pick on a LT who just got injured on Sunday.

A key difference is we have a talented young QB on the roster, they don't.

On top of that, it's not a particularly good season to be drafting a QB, there aren't going to be any good vet QBs on the market, and they don't have enough cap space to sign a big-time vet at the same time as filling all the holes on their roster.

Even if it was a good season to be drafting a QB, they are currently drafting 8th and don't have a lot of draft assets to use to try to move up.

In short, they are where they were when they decided to sign Ahole: no decent young QB on the roster and no assets to draft one, but now the young talent they did find is two years older and they have the corpse of Ahole Rodgers to deal with.

For Joe Douglas the swing and a miss on Punky Wilson was a career-ending disaster. It closed their window before it even opened.

Now, the Jete Cycle of Suck is all ready to repeat itself once again, but with Ahole's contract creating a HUGE cap hit if they keep him OR if they release/trade him.

In short, they're screwed.

EDIT: More thoughts added...

The Jete will pretty much have to draft a quarterback. I wonder what their plan will be.

They'll be on the board, Woody will consult the rankings on a college football app, and they'll pick whatever dude the app recommends.
Sounds about right. He'll be wearing his $2,500 suit and his dirty, sweat-stained white Jets cap for those important corporate decisions.

Here's Woody with his wife and two closest player personnel advisors -- teen sons Brick and Jack.

The author is kinda disrespectful, but of course its Ahole and Da Jete he's writing about, so it's totally cool with us.

Each lineman received a custom Tom Ford suit, Tom Ford cologne, Tom Ford sunglasses, a Louis Vuitton passport holder, a stereo speaker and a bottle of Devils River bourbon.

Rodgers has been sacked 33 times in 15 games this season. Imagine what he would have bought each of them if they'd kept him upright more often.

Teddy Bridgewater coming out of retirement as a backup on the Lions is another chance for an ex-Jets QB to contribute to a winning team this year.
Bridgewater never played for the Jets

Wrong thread.
