One way to guarantee you get a replay... is to throw your flag.

Worst thing that happens is you lose your challenge, which won't matter since you're less than 2 minutes away from the 2 minute warning where challenges can't be used anymore anyway. You'd also lose a timeout, but they had all 3, and 1 of 3 timeouts was a lot less important than stopping the Colts' game winning drive.

These things are instinctual for a good coach.

There was a play on defense where there was a penalty, and he initially chose 2nd and 17 over 3rd and 12.

Eventually he got it right, but Mayo shouldn't need an assistant correcting him, or whatever other reason the official got it wrong.

Yeah there's nothing solid about that it's anything but solid when all you have to do to ice a win is stop Anthony Richardson from going 80 yards, the same QB who had like 70 yards passing with 5 minutes left in the game.

Not only do you let him go 80 yards but you're also given a 2nd chance to stop the 2 point conversion to win the game and you can't do that either.

This is the first time in a long time that I am looking forward to the bye week. At least we get a 1 week break from seeing this horrible product on a Sunday !!! This year we should have won the Seattle game, the 1sst Miami game, the Titans game and this Colt game. But either the D or the terrible coaching let us down !!!!!

Slye's missed chip shot hurt bad

My worst fears about the kickers is starting to come true. Slye was the better kicker in training camp. He kicked better than he had at any point in his career while Ryland never got untracked mentally. Now Slye is reverting to his normal level and Ryland has figured things out and is performing to his physical talents. It looks like another open competition at kicker in training camp.

Run D was not great, especially after being better against Miami but the DBs were pretty good all game. Richardson was 12/24 for 109, that is not torching, at all.

You see Jerod... that's how losing teams GO FOR TWO when they suck and it means they can win.

And the refs influence on this game cannot be ignored. The NFL has made it obvious that they don't want to the Pats to win any game.

In all the anger at losing a game that could have easely been one the officiant has been forgotten. At least three of the holds called against the pats were not close actually being holds. At the same time those phantom holds were being called i notice all the grabbing and shoving by the colts on pats receivers in the end zone.It was pretty obvious the reffs were favoring the colts

At this point, it looks like a 7 game losing streak to finish the season.
So assume 3-14.
RKK will make all the excuses for how they're "looking long term" and keeping the staff.
This is a long term disaster.
Because the Offense will likely improve next year, but this D is toast with Mayo & DC in charge.

I use to listen to mayo when he would break down the pats games with curran, he seemed like a smart guy who had learned a lot after being a player under BB and then on BBs staff. But at this point it looks like mayo never absorbed basic coaching knowledge in all that time

No way. All of those teams are fighting for a playoff spot. And the 3 QBs will destroy our defense. I expect the worst 4 games of the year.
