Yeah I don't think anyone who has listened to him this year would say yeah thats a guy I want to coach my team.

I keep thinking about the Celtics, and how I wasn't sold on Mazzulla. I wanted a different coach heading into the '23 season. I was wrong and happy with him being the Cs coach. I am trying to temper my Mayo feelings, but he is making it harder and harder to think he isn't more like Eberflus than Mazzulla.

Mazzulla was quiet, but I thought his intensity, focus and competitiveness came across. I was skeptical, but the other factor was Brad Stevens. I trusted him to make good decisions.

We've got none of that with Mayo. Mayo was a potato on the sidelines as a position coach. He had not distinguished himself at all. And Bob Kraft, a man I would not trust further than I could throw, tells me Mayo is the guy. It was a perplexing arrangement to begin with, and now it is disastrous.

Everyone know we are currently worse than Miami.

Miami was over/under 9.5 wins and an expected playoff team
New England over/under 4.5 and expected rebuilding team.

The season has shown Miami is not a real playoff contender because they can't beat good teams while we are a rebuilding team.

I think the point is NE has a better PATH to real contender than Miami.
Nothing worse for odds of future playoff success than being a middling team with a highly paid QB, that is not remotely close to elite, eating up a lot of cap space. Not even mentioning Tyreek Hill is now on the wrong side of 30.

They've been one of the worst teams in the NFL but do have 4 titles. The first came in 1935 and the last in 1957. Since then they've been a very bad team with as many one and done playoffs (9) as PEDton Manning.

Tom Brady had as many or possibly more double digit winning seasons in only half of his career than the Lions have had since 1957.

They looked vulnerable last night vs a crappy Bears team.

Don't underestimate the Chiefs. They're as all in as any team could be.

Nothing more annoying than a bad penalty call by a referee that would have been 4th down and then gives the team a big 15 yards in a first down
Those plays should always be reviewed up in the booth automatically

Those type of calls are a major reason why I don't watch nearly as much football these days. If it's not the Pats then why bother? I didn't watch more than a half hour of football yesterday and didn't miss it at all.

I would like to see the Lions win it all this year but if that happens it will be all on the offense. The amount of injuries they continue to have on their defense is going to be tough on them. They will need to score 30+ every game to win.
