OK but 80's...two(2) losing seasons, and 90's just the Flutieless first three(3). Parcells & Bledsoe came after that and we were on the rise. Super Bowl appearances in each decade.

I think what's sometimes lost on today's fans is what it was like being a fan of a team that always seemed to have one foot out the door. We loved that team through crap rosters, horrific coaching and incompetent (at times malignant) ownership and were in danger of being dumped the whole time. For the past 30 years current Pats fans can at least be secure in the knowledge this team isn't backing in the moving trucks at midnight.

And that's something to be thankful for

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I live in Cobra Commanders territory and this site and all you magnificent bastards are my connection to the team I love (well, I'm not sure "love" is how I feel about Mayo right now).

Michael Jackson's Victory(lol) Tour brought the whole house of cards crashing down. Robert Kraft is the hero who cannily swooped in at the auction to buy the land and save us. Under the Sullivans, there was never a shortage of turmoil.

But they still won more than most other teams. High character players, several of whom should have been put in the team Hall of Fame when they were alive but still aren't, deserve the most credit for that.

My biggest disappointment with the 80's is Berry continuing to start Eason over Grogan and later Flutie. That alone torpedoed their chances for winning a Super Bowl. Then, not keeping and making Flutie the starter and hiring a coach who believed in him was fatal.

Besides that, with the 90's it's obviously the flying elvis and corresponding uniform. The first Super Bowl on FOX featured the iconic, legendary Green Bay Packers versus the What The Hell Is That? It Doesn't Even Look Like An NFL Team.

I think you'd love to see him leave

Thanks for the good wishes. But I’m having a very ****ty Thanksgiving this year.

A friend died Sunday when his plane crashed. We flew together just two weeks ago when he gave me a lift to pick up my plane out of maintenance. We flew similar aircraft and he had been excited to share the news with me when he upgraded to this plane just a couple of months ago. Great guy, good pilot, bad weather. He was flying a mission transporting rescue dogs from a high kill shelter down south to new foster parents up north when he got into some rough weather and crashed. Amazing number of people knew him and have been sharing their heartbreak.

Tonight I got a call from a friend who was calling from the hospital because he had a stroke last night. Call was cut short because they came to take him to have an MRI, so I have no idea what his prognosis is.

I’m okay, but tremendously bummed that a holiday to celebrate and give thanks joyously has so many people feeling pain and sadness and loss. My heart is heavy as I think of Seuk’s family, and everyone who losses loved ones amidst holiday celebrations, and those experiencing the holidays from a hospital bed. I sincerely hope none of you are among them.

Celebrate when you have the chance. Share your love and appreciation with those you hold dear. You never know what’s around the next corner, and life is fragile and fleeting.

Apologies for being a downer, but life just gave me enough lemons I had to share some.
If we can take some of the load of lemons off your back for a moment
Then lighten the load and throw us some
My thoughts are with you

Happy Thanksgiving to All

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you south of the boarder. Have a wonderful day with all your families and friends!!!

Sorry for your loss and my condolences in the passing of your friend! Life really sucks at times and this makes you realize what is really important. Just remember all the good times you had together and hoping you find some peace!

I am very sorry to hear that you lost your friend and another one is dealing with health issues. I hope that you get some good news on your sick friend or something that brings a little happiness to you on the holiday.
The great support I’ve been getting reminds me to be thankful for you all, and the rest of my online friends even the ones I’ve yet to meet in real life.
