So is Mayo fired before, on, or after the bye?

Both starting tackles could’ve been benched today, that’s how bad they were. If there was an option at LT we would’ve seen that happen.

I enjoy watching Maye but god I can’t wait until the offseason. There’s no way in heck the front office isn’t aggressive adding talent.

They don't want to ruin Maye like they ruined Mac. Mayo and AVP at least will get another season. Covington's got to go, for sure.
It depends on who the HC is in 2025.

I’d clean house for a true football pro and let him pick the GM or HC depending on who it is you decide to turn it over to.

I'd love to see it, as well... I feel like that's least likely though.

I disagree. I think we have seen enough of Wolfe's work both in Mayo's time and in his work under Bill. He blows. He blows typhoon level. Fire him, and be quick about it.

I dismissed the time under BB because I'm less aware for what he was responsible (but that's because I haven't tried to learn, it could be very clear to most). Your point is probably stronger than mine.

I think AVP is helping Maye with the fundamentals really well and I’m not opposed to letting him continue to do so.
You do realize he has a say in that right? Why would he accept a demotion?

I agree he has seemingly been a good QB coach as part of his duties, but the odds of him staying IF (and its a very big if) the ownership goes in a different direction for a coaching staff next season are about zero.zero.

(Add to that if they change staffs why would the new HC keep him? They're going to want their own staff from soup to nuts).

There isn't a hall of fame level coach like Scar to keep here.

Agree. It is Wolf, not Wolfe.

I don't want to overreact just yet but an alarming picture is starting to emerge with Maye and his nack for poor decision making and plays when trying to come back.

This needs to get addressed ASAP.
Yes. Eliminate the need to come back.

CB has quietly become a major hole in this roster that needs to be upgraded this offseason
It's been a major hole for quite some time which was why Bill took Gonzalez in 2023. Posters don't seem to remember the 2022 season where they were getting abused by WR's weekly.

Marcus Jones is not an NFL CB. He needs to stick to kickoff and punt returns.

Jonathon Jones has gotten exposed since his moved up the totem poll by default since the departures of Gilmore, Jackson and Jason McCourty.

Good question.

Before would be the time to do it, but you are only going with an interim the rest of the way.

I don't necessarily agree. I think that mid-season loss of Peppers is bigger than people want to admit.

Jon Jones is best as a Nickel back. As is Marcus Jones. You put Marcus outside on only certain match-ups.

Right now, without Bentley and DMac, you don't have people capable of making the adjustment calls on the field. Dugger hasn't shown he can do it. Peppers might have been doing it, but he's not around. Plus I think he was free-lancing some.

The loss of Barmore for the first 10 games, the loss of Bentley, and then Peppers has been huge. The team doesn't have a bonafide LEADER on the field for the Defense. The lack of discipline because of the change in management is appalling.

Mapu MIGHT develop into a guy who can call out defensive adjustments, but he's not there yet.

Elliss and Schooler are good subs, but shouldn't be on the field full-time.

The Pats need a FS ala McCourty who can direct the secondary. That would go a long way to solidifying the secondary. As would ahving a Healthy Barmore and Bentley.
