I expect, based on trends, that by the time Maye's contract is up, it will likely be SOP for elite qb's to have a VERY strong voice in where they go for their second contract. Unless there is a distinct improvement in the way this team is managed, built and coached, I think it entirely possible Drake might say, "No thanks," and I would not blame him.
I had a technical writing job once for a company that did piss poor work and did not care that they did so. Nobody cared to do better, and that was seen as just fine. It was an easy job, but it became too depressing to sit there and mail it in every day, so I quit, despite the low demands and the really good pay. There is nothing more grinding than working for a crap outfit where whatever talent you might have is just wasted.
