It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Actually, advanced stats say Maye is better, tape says it is not even close, Maye is way better on tape (eye test). If Daniels is more Dynamic why is Maye blowing him away on EPA per scramble? Why does Daniels refuse to look up when running to make a play like Maye? Why are Maye's stats on accuracy better than Daniels?Stats are not meaningless and they are not for losers. Both the stats and the eye test say Daniels is more accurate, more dynamic and a better creator than Maye.
Maye is excellent and promising but Daniels is better.
I guaranteee you DC would not trade Daniels for Maye.
Maye is progressing nicely but I think this thread is over rating him based on what we have seen so far. Top 3 qb in 25…..no
Bill would have traded back and taken McCarthy I think. He gushed about him on draft night.Would be so cool to pair up Maye with BB. Too bad BB would've traded back and grabbed a DB at 9 or something
Ask and you shall receive! LOLCurious what Henry would say about Maye as a rookie vs Herbert? Bet he'd say they were similar.
The lack of wins is a concern, but we can't have it both ways saying he has a terrible team surrounding him yet expect him to win games.Let's pump the brakes a little bit here, Fellas.
The kid has only had 6 starts so far....1 win....and one game where Brissett pulled out the win. He also has thrown two game ending interceptions. He has also fumbled the ball at least 3 times...and thrown some other dumb interceptions.
We will see how it goes as defensive coordinators have more and more tape on him. On Sunday, he made some nice off platform throws across his body....and he certainly can run the ball, but mostly does so out of necessity.
But yeah...the Giants offered us two firsts and a second to move up for Maye...we declined.
I love Maye but if I have a concern it’s his play on potential game winning drives. So far, not so good. The lack of wins is a concern, but we can't have it both ways saying he has a terrible team surrounding him yet expect him to win games.
The talent is there, but he needs better coaching, OL, WR's and a a better defense.
Brady had very good Slot Receivers and decent boundary receivers...Maye has neither.I love Maye but if I have a concern it’s his play on potential game winning drives. So far, not so good.
The thing that made Brady the GOAT wasn’t everything he did for 60 minutes, it was how he played his best when the game hung in the balance, consistently.
He's 0-2 right now with two game sealing picks. I think if He had better talent all around he pulls those games out. Also the OL Brady played behind wasn't mostly Practice squadders. Other than Onwenu you know...no wonder they're rushing Cole Strange back even for a quarter of the season.I love Maye but if I have a concern it’s his play on potential game winning drives. So far, not so good.

Herberts about the only guy I think you might hesitate and not trade straight up for Maye if you are Chargers, but with the cap difference maybe.
When you say you think if……. and blame other people, you underline my concern. He's 0-2 right now with two game sealing picks. I think if had better talent all around he pulls those games out. I’m not that concerned because of what I mentioned in my previous post. The supporting cast and coaching are really bad.I love Maye but if I have a concern it’s his play on potential game winning drives. So far, not so good.

Maye has better tools and better upside than both of them. And I like both those qbs, but you will see Maye seriously start separating from those 2 and most others next season. Maye is only 20, played just 2 years of college ball and did not play his senior yr of hs due to covid.Ok this is a different take.
Still under your criteria the rest of the league would consider Stroud or Daniels above Maye currently.
I will never excuse being a guy who gets it done when it matters most by blaming others. That is antithetical to the concept.I’m not that concerned because of what I mentioned in my previous post. The supporting cast and coaching are really bad.
Brady had veterans in Troy Brown and David Patten in year 1. Added Deion Branch and David Givens from year 2 to 5. Maye doesn’t have one dependable WR.
Brady also had more stability with the OL.
Defense was night and day better than this current group.
Right now, I think it'd be a coin toss between Maye and Daniels. If Daniels didn't get injured, he'd be the clear #1; if Maye had started Week 1, I think he'd be the clear #1.Not if they watch tape. I've watched almost every throw of Nix, Daniels, Williams and Maye this year. Just like in college Maye is just at another level, it is really not that close on tape.
If the draft was held today Maye goes #1 overall IMO.
From 2007 to 2019, he consistently had at least two top 5 at their position players among deep-threat WR, slot WR, TE, and pass-catching RB.Brady had very good Slot Receivers and decent boundary receivers...Maye has neither.
