He’s worked as an executive for successful organizations (Ravens and Eagles), and the Jete do have some individual talent. His drafts look pretty decent there. Couldn’t overcome the stank, Woody, and Aaron.
The real swing and miss was Zach Wilson. If that pick produces a NFL starting QB, everyone probably still has their job. Unfortunately for him (and for us too), 2021 was a bad year to be looking for a college QB:
The swing and miss on Wilson is what led to using so much FA money to get Rodgers and his pals Cobb and Lizard (and their buddy OC Hackett), thus an overall lack of depth on the roster. He also spent a lot of draft capital on OL and came up with very little to show for it.

His firing is justified to me, but I do have to say it was to a large degree about him having lots of draft capital at the wrong time then having no obvious other choice but to overpay a well-past-prime Ahole Rodgers.

So for him, chances are he's not gonna get another GM job and his obituary is gonna say that he was the guy who drafted Zach Wilson with the second pick in the NFL Draft...

Jets going after Ben Johnson hard and we are stuck with a guy quoting himself learning on the job.
There's no way Johnson goes there. That job has been a graveyard for 1st time HC's.
Imagine Bill goes there with the promise of full power.
Maybe Bills Gf talks him into the Jets lol.
This is what Woody should do. The only reason why I think it's a good fit is because Bill is one of the only HC's that Rodgers would respect. Bill isn't going to coach long term and Rodgers isn't playing much longer as well. The defense could have pieces that would intrigue Bill.

After looking at that list, the Zack Wilson pick looks better than I could ever imagine. Not one player has established themself as legit NFL QB. The Jets picked a bad year to find a franchise QB in the draft. And now they have to start over again. I almost feel bad for their fans.
