Jaguar Mac Jones is about to embarrass the genius BB and his all star coaching staff [mod edit: he didn’t]

I love how people talk down Brady’s final season like he wasn’t 45 freaking years old and not already well beyond the reach of what was once thought impossible for QBs in this league.

Keep on tasting that copium there.
well it goes both ways. Brady was 45 and had a down year, Bill is in his 70 and doesn't have the fast ball like he had for so many years. Big deal, I don't hate Brady for having a bad season and I never put him down the way you constantly do with Bill. It's not just you but a select few that conveniently forget everything Bill did for the Patriots but will never blame Brady for anything. They both were fantastic and they both made mistakes. I have never understood this blind hero worshiping of Brady !!

Mac Jones probably won't be in the League next year: he doesn't have an NFL arm

In both cases it's not blind worship they both did so much for the team they each earned it. What I'll never understand is the need to pit them against each other. Compare them to their peers and celebrate the fact we got the best to ever do it at both positions.

As I told you before the bulk of my BB coaching criticism zeros in on the last two seasons since the moronic hires of MP/JJ. GM Bill was just a mess and it's why he's not here anymore and doesn't have a job in the league. And with Thornton's exit and Strange still being a huge question mark, the 2022 draft looks like a total failure. The outcome is a .250 football team since the start of the 2023 season.

Funny cause there seems to be a lot of that for Bill. "It's not Bill's fault that Mac Jones was drafted, someone forced him to do it". Lol

I agree with you completely. I have never said one is better than the other. It just annoys me when certain people can’t or won’t give Bill any credit at all.

I don’t remember ever saying that, I don’t think I have ever said Bill had nothing to do with Mac being drafted. But at the same time to blame Bill for Mac being a lousy player is wrong . That year we needed a QB and the consensus was that Mac was the most ready QB of the draft. Most people on this board loved the pick as did the media. It was a case of everybody being wrong!!

There's maybe one or 2 guys on here who thinks that but you started war with all of Patsfans.com because of it and have proven yourself to be nothing more than a troll. Congrats.

Yeah it's not just here.

Are you going to reply thoughtfully or just keep whining every time I post?

I'll do both thank you very much.

And where else is it? In the dark recesses of your mind or something.

Ok. Just wanted to know if I should mute the whining.

You can look for it yourself. I wouldn't say it if it didn't exist.

I just credit team, whereas SB1 credits one magical unicorn player.

QB's are a part of team, not apart from team.
Every coach needs a QB and there's a reason Franchises will take a QB high in the draft because they are the one's that are in most control of the games and who the fans go to see. However, they can't do it themselves and need good coaches for game planning, play calling, and game management. QB's also need a supporting cast. We've criticized QB's all around league for their failures, but they either had a bad HC or glaring weaknesses on the team that the QB couldn't overcome.
I think Mac was the 5th QB taken.
Yep, @sb1 posted the list last night and that all QB's in the draft have been duds.

Also I've told you I'd actually prefer you mute me then I can just call out your Bull Crap and not have to get into a debate every time but I can't just let it go unchecked I'm too stubborn and your takes are too bad.

I do not hate Bill Belichick. At all. I appreciated what he did here.
^
If all this is your starting point then we good.

I was miffed at Brady leaving and I was vocal about that here. That didn't exactly translate to "I hate Brady" either.

Also Brady is right. They're not in the business of developing NFL QB's they're in the business of winning. If a QB plays shotgun his whole career and other teams can't stop it then why would they change?

2021 NFL QB draft class
1- Lawrence - Starter. Meh
2- Wilson - 3rd string in Denver. Bust
3- Lance - backup in Dallas. Bust
11- Fields - backup in Pitt. Bust
15- Jones- backup in Jax. Busted after a decent rookie season
64- Trask- backup in Tampa and nowhere near ready to take Mayfield's job. Bust
66- Mond - on his 4th NFL team. Bust
67- Mills - serviceable backup in Houston.
133- Book - released by KC in camp and out of the league.
218- Ehlinger - QB3 for the Colts

Woof. That is horrible
Kellen Mond is still in the league? That's amazing. I watched most of his college career. He wasn't good.

Where if Logan Ryan had just tackled the guy instead of giving up the catch, the Seahawks would have surely just kicked a field goal, because the half was over?

If they had just held Skittles to a normal 4-yard run on first down after the Gronk TD, then Seattle doesn't even try to push the ball downfield; they would've simply taken a knee on 2nd down and be done with it. Arrington's Personal Foul penalty is what allowed the 'Hags to score 7 instead of 3 later in the drive.
