This thread is wild in the sense that Drake Maye played unbelievably well today against a really good pass rushing defensive line. He completed a lot of passes. He was accurate even when throwing off base. He's a gamer. He read the defense really well.

Let me say this again: Drake Maye played a whale of a game today!

I'm interested to see how many yards your boy Gonzalez is credited in giving up today? Before today's game, he's got a 76 passing rating when thrown at which is 54th best in the NFL for DB's. I think he's a fine player, but I'd like to see more game changing plays every once in a while.
Who knows, he makes zero plays that change games, which is what elite players do

Why would he reveal this?

This looks more like a miscommunication to me than
a miss by Maye.

This looks like when the Madden AI intentionally makes you throw an incomplete pass or INT to the computer.

Had Douglas caught that in stride, he may have taken that to the house.

That's poor Football IQ that play costs us the game early. Just sucked the life out of our Team. Lowe You're an idiot only Wolf likes you.

Fast forward to McMillan & Higgins on the outside with Douglas & Boutte as WR3/WR4 & two OL signed in FA. Next year should be one of the more anticipated pats seasons in awhile.

Defensive coaching remains disappointing though.

That's what happens when you have Marginal NFL players as Starters.

Glad you agree that we Need Two really good WR's: because we currently Don't have that.

I am pretty surprised that after 10 pages of responses, nobody has brought up that ****ty 4th quarter drive. They got the ball with 11:03 on the clock and ran the ball 7 out of 12 plays for 8 whole yards (!) and kicked a measly FG with 4:54 on the clock. So they were down 2 scores, ran off 6:09 off the clock, never once hurried to the line, and settled for a field goal??

This was a serious screw up by AVP.

Running 6:03 off the clock is something you do when YOU are up 2 scores. It is stupid when you're down 2.

Amateur OC I'm intrigued to see what the Krafts do at seasons end.

We saw what Stafford did against our Blitz with Real Talent.

Are the constant one score game losses a byproduct of bad coaching or a roster void of talent?

I just realized that the Patriots had more yards on offense today than the Bills. Those RZ trio are really important. That awful 3rd & 2 call cost us the game.

For a big back Stevenson is really bad in short yardage situation.

Pharms disappears when hes not going against backups and 3rd stringers
Because he's a rotational guy being forced into a heavy snap count. That's basically the entire DL except White (and Barmore once he is back in game shape) frankly. Godchaux is a depth guy and so is Wise. And Barmore is the only four tool guy on the list that's plus at both the run and rushing the passer - White still needs work on contain and shedding inside vs the run, Godchaux can't rush, Wise is inconsistent (he's fine as a rotational guy if he's with plus talent) and Pharms and Roy are end of rotation/backups.

You can only play with what you've got. It's where they could've spent money this offseason outside the organization and ceded not to. This is the result. Even if Barmore hadn't had the blood clots they'd be challenged all year as constituted.

Saw some more good stuff from Maye, Barmore is back and they are still holding a top 10 draft pick. It was a good day at sea overall

Sean McVay on Maye:

Good stuff. Nice to hear

I don’t want to fire AVP. I want consistency for Maye. People here where screaming here that changing OC every year can screw a rookie QB and now we want to do the same thing with Maye??

Is AVP the best OC? No but I see improvement from the beginning of the season. I think he is doing a good job developing him. They will be fine with better players even with AVP.

Keep AVP and at some point in the next 2-3 years Drake will outgrow the system and then you make a change. Pretty much like Baltimore did with Roman and Montken.

Maye needs consistency going in year 2.

I hate the way Gibson runs. Always picks the wrong hole. I dont really care how shifty you are if you're picking the wrong hole and getting stopped at the line. Rham gains yardage all the time. I dont think he's great but... Not a Gibson fan. Ezekiel >>> Gibson
I still put most of it on the line. When he gets good blocking and isn't trying to shake a tackle in the backfield he gets positive yards. Rham is NOT why this team is near the bottom of the league. I dont get why people have this "replace everyone" as their only solution.
