SCOUTING REPORT FOR TETAIROA MCMILLEN:

McMillan boasts a rare combination of size, hands, and route-running acumen that scouts covet in a WR1 prospect. His ability to win at all three levels of the field, coupled with his red-zone prowess, projects him as a day-one impact player. McMillan's route tree sophistication and ability to create separation through technique suggest a high floor as he transitions to the pro game.

Compared to N Keal Harry scouting report:

Team sources call Harry not real twitchy or explosive. They worry about how he is not fast in and out of breaks and don’t see suddenness. Some sources said that Harry reminded them of Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell, who is currently headed toward bust status for the Vikings. Some other sources say they are grading Harry on the second day of the 2019 NFL Draft and feel he is akin to Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Devin Funchess. One team source said they originally planned on grading Harry in Round 2, but were lowering him to the third round.

I would love it if the Pats could get King Tet in the 1st and Warren in the 2nd, but that means they need to fix the OL in FA. Tet is 6'5 and Warren is 6'6. I think Tet is gone when we will pick. I am projecting us with 5 wins and picking around pick 8-10.

4 wins got us the number 3 overall pick

5 wins could get us a 10th overall pick? Yuck

Yea there are a currently 5 teams with 2 wins and 6 with 3 wins. I am just guessing at what pick we would have. I am with you though, I would love Tet with Maye.

Pats draft position is going to get lowered when the steal a few more games.
Am I the only one that has pretty much no confidence in Wolf/Groh Jr.? Drake Maye was a no-brainer (and was my 1st choice at QB). He didn't sign either one of the two young and talented true FS's that wouldn't have broken the bank. Then, he tells us during training camp that he likes the OL (yet wouldn't have Wallace get 100% of the first team reps at RT which he should have gotten), which means he's either an idiot or a liar regarding the OL. I don't want Wolf/Groh Jr. having anything further to do with this rebuild. But, perhaps it's just me.

Emeka Egbuka could be special at WR.

Belichick wouldn’t have taken Maye. Half this board didn’t want him. If Wolf missed on the pick he would get torched, but he hits on it and all of his detractors say it was a can’t miss pick. Total ********. Wolf has this team heading in the right direct for the first time in 4 years, he’s doing a good job.

I have no confidence in this fan base.

I argued before the draft that Maye had the best potential to be not just a QB #1, but a Franchise QB. I'm not the VP of Player Personnel and even I knew Maye should have been the pick. Wallace might prove to be a solid RT. I'm not giving up on Polk (as it's way too early for that). I don't yet know what to make of Baker. The 2025 off season (FA and Draft) will show whether or not Wolf knows what he's doing. I don't know about the rest of the fan base, but I've been a staunch supporter of this team since 1975.

That doesn’t change any of what I said.

That’s fine, but giving a new GM 8 games to turn a franchise around seems completely ridiculous to me.
I never said to replace him this season for that very reason. We have what we have. Next season is a different matter altogether. You're a fan of Wolf, I'm not. Although that doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to see him succeed and prove me wrong. The team is more important than me being right. And a lot of times I want to be wrong. That's why I've been a fan since I was a kid in the 70's.

I've been really impressed with Travis Hunter at Colorado. What other draft prospects catch your eye for the 2025 Patriots draft.
Looks like you will need the 1st pick in the draft for Hunter according to the Mock drafts

There were only a couple of posters that didn't want Maye, and everyone is routing for Maye.

Discussing different options, like trading down, does not mean the Board was against Maye. Wolf made a bunch of questionable selections in the 2024 draft, Maye was not questionable, and discussing those selections is not BS.

I agree about him doing a good job, but still feel like he should have brought more competition in FA to compete on the OL. I love all of the tinkering they have been doing with the bottom of the roster and PS.

Travis Hunter WR/CB

Tetairoa Macmillan WR

WILL Campbell LT

Kelvin Banks LT

Will Johnson CB

A. Ersery LT

Mason Graham DT
What teams do these players play for? I don't follow CFB too much, but it might motivate me to watch a game or two if I had my eye on a potential Pats pick.

My feeling on last year’s free agency is pretty well known. It was a terrible market, and they would have been spending money on a weak market that would then have been unavailable for them this offseason. Now they are in great shape for the draft, with the extra 3rd they got for Judon, and they have 130 million heading into free agency. So my expectations for what they will do this offseason are going to be much higher than the last one, and I believe next years team is going to be much better than this one is.

As great as Belichick was, and imo he is clearly the GOAT, he left Wolf a dumpster fire, and Kraft chose the coach, so expecting Wolf to turn this around in one offseason, with a terrible free agent market is expecting the impossible. Like Belichick Wolf has been immersed in football his entire life, and I believe if given the time he will turn them into a consistent championship contender. And if the Patriots fall into the routine of the owners firing the coach and GM every year or two when they don’t get instant results they will turn into the Jets.
