Can KC go 19-0?

Let's just pray the Bills can beat them this week and get it over with.
It's funny, we've turned into the '72 Dolphins, not wanting anyone to ever go 16(17)-0 again.

Although, if the Zebras can get out of the way, @Bills, Chargers, Texans, @Steelers, @Broncos - all have a decent shot of beating them.
IF the Bills lose this week the Chiefs are well on their way...the other Teams are not in the Chiefs class.

Will they try to go 17-0 if there is nothing to play for weeks 17 & 18?
Reid likes to rest his players unlike Bill.
Seems like the 3-peat would be more important.
Reid would surpass Bill IMO. Hate to see it but he has crushed it with multiple QB's

I really like Reid and happy for his success he can run an Offense. Reid is the Opposite of BB on the Offensive side...he will be one the Greats with good health. Mahomes just turned 29 seems like he's played 10 years already.

No, he wouldn't. Bill beat him every single time when it mattered. Also, Bill didn't have the NFL at his beck and call so thats a huge difference.

It's a moot point anyways they are using smoke and mirrors to stay in these games and in the modern NFL that doesn't work. They are not the boogeymen that everyone thinks they are.

The NFL offices and the NFL driven media have done a number on most of you.

Seems like WR Keon Coleman is going to be out for the Bills and Curtis Samuel have been pedestrian. This Bills Need this game to shake those Chiefs ghosts.

Maybe they'll pull a Polian and try to manipulate the playoff seedings.
Reid has had very few losing seasons. Bill has had a ****load. Maybe Reid's right about resting players.
The threepeat is HUGE and probably would come first. But both would be even better.

It's about the players. Always has been.

Bill beat Reid early with top defensive players. Then he beat him late with a much more potent offense. Reid had Mahomes and Kelce then but Bill had Brady and Gronk.

It's funny how so many fans here ridiculed Reid as a poor HC when he had McNabb but now that he has Mahomes he's an offensive genius.

Absolutely. They are a team that snatches victory from the jaws of defeat time and again. Some call it luck, but I think it is more a function of when one team expects to get the good bounce and win the game and the other expects to get the rough break and lose the game, those become self-fulfilling prophecies.

Having said that..... if Buffalo beats KC this weekend (and please note I am not predicting they will I am only saying IF they do) then it is a 1 game lead with 7 games left for the Chiefs. Hardly a time to rest your starters for the playoffs.
This is what it is. The teams who don’t get the bounce against teams like Kc or us during our dynasty years let their fear or expecting to lose the game affect the outcome.

DROY favorite. Pats OL has their work cut out for them.

Good thing Maye is not one of those Statue QB's.

Reid crushed it with multiple QBs for sure. But the thing that Bill will never get the credit for is the winning he did with Brady before he was GOAT level. Like let's just be for real... Tom Brady from 2001 to 2004 was not the GOAT. Not even close. He continued to get better and better throughout his career and to pretend like he was a GOAT level player early on would honestly be disrespectful to his efforts to improve over the course of his career.

Brady from 01-04 is a lot more like the McNabb/Alex Smith's of the world that Reid has won with, but never won it all with like BB did 3 times. Reid could never actually win it all until he got Mahomes playing at levels we've probably never seen for. BB will never get to take credit for winning with multiple QBs in his time here, but he absolutely proved he could win multiple super bowls without GOAT level QB play. He'll just never get the credit for it because the non-GOAT level QB he won with went on to grow into a GOAT level player.

They could. There are a lot of crappy teams.

When the Pats made that run, how many games were even close? There were like 4 one-score games, and only the Ravens and Giants seemed like they had a chance. They more than doubled the points of their opponents. KC seems like they're in a 1-score game every week.

Winning on last-second blocked field goals...amazing.

Unfortunately yes. Team just create ways to lose against them.

This guy might make things difficult for Maye.

I'm sorry, but you can't lead the NFL in "pressure %", yet only have 4.5 sacks. PFF making **** up.

They need to make themselves more useful and put these "pressure" stats into perspective. How many negative plays did it cause as opposed to positive plays? I'm quite shocked this hasn't been covered yet.

Their defense is pedestrian.

Source: Jared Verse tied an NFL record held by two All-Pro pass rushers

"Not only is he generating pressure at an incredibly high rate, but he’s also making big plays against the run and creating tackles for a loss. He added two more to his season total on Monday night against the Dolphins, recording another sack and a tackle for a loss.

That gives him 11 on the year, which is tied for the third-most of any player in football this year, behind only Trey Hendrickson and Gregory Rousseau. More impressively, it’s as good a start as any defender has had in the last 25 years."

The last players to do this in their first 9 games are Von Miller and Micah Parsons.

"If Verse keeps up his current pace of 1.2 tackles for a loss per game, he’s on track to have almost 21 in 17 games as a rookie. For comparison, Aaron Donald had 18 as a rookie and he only had more than 21 twice: 22 in 2015 and 25 in 2018. His 20 tackles for a loss in 2019 also led the league that year."

"He’s widely considered the midseason favorite to be the NFL’s defensive rookie of the year, an honor won by Donald himself exactly a decade ago."
