Watched the video on the Pats official youtube channel and the more I hear him talk with reporters, coaches and teammates the more I like this kid. He is only 22 years old but carries himself like a much older player/person. He says all the right things and has asserted himself as a leader on this team which was probably no easy task as a very young rookie. I remember listening to Jones talk to reporters and his sideline shenanigans we would see from time to time and thought this is a goofy kid. Drake seems so much more mature and yet is younger. I think he has all the ingredients needed to be a top 10 qb in the league they just need to give him time/players and let him cook.

Maye has only started 5 games.

You could see he had the size, arm strength and mobility which is key but many QB’s had those qualities but failed
What I wanted to see is if he had the leadership, mental toughness and smarts
He seems to have all of those. Time will tell if he continues on that path
What has impressed me the most is his ability to elevate his teammates play
Sometimes just putting the team on his back and running with it
He has a little bit of that “It” factor
Again time will tell. But after losing Brady and BB I thought we were blessed and had our run
Maye has brought back a glimmer of hope
Now let’s surround him with some talent and good coaching and you never know we could be saying
We’re back

Another thing I like about him.. checking on this IG stories, he's definitely not a ME-ME type guy and seems to post about his teammates a lot. It seems like he really appreciates his teammates and they feel the same way.

I liked when he threw that TD to Polk, he just ran off the field then turned around to congratulate the rest of the offense one by one as they made their way to the sideline. Dude definitely oozes servant leadership. Now all I want to see is some hellfire. Sometimes you need to be more than the good ol boy.

Great stuff! I feel like he's special.. I like alot of posters thought he'd have to sit and develop like the team planned for him to do. From the time he was drafted his development happened so fast that I believe it surprised the coaches. For him to be a rookie and leading like he has holding guys accountable, making plays that aren't there, being the reason his teams in positions to win games. I'm really glad we have another QB in NE. I'm curious to see how he gets surrounded with guys that can help him.

He's in the locker room celebrating and he gets to the O-line and he starts making plans to get something to eat on Monday. Good stuff, take care of the big fellas.

Definitely liked seeing that too! Brady early on used to invite all his OL over to his place in Quincy in marina bay.. to gather and bond off the field. Those are true signs of genuine leadership and you can see guys play hard for Drake.

That ten part documentary had some pretty cool videos of Brady having some beers, playing Nintendo and ping pong with the boys at his condo.

Yes! a buddy of mines grew up in Houghs neck and he was tell me stories over the years of how he often see brady and alot of the players hanging out in the area alot. Drake reminds me alot of young brady the person.. humble, all about the team.. never got too high or too low.. I will say this.. I expect Drake to be even better next season.. with real difference makers around him! So...if AVP ever gets a HC opportunity down the line he should be giving Drake the 10% not his agent.
