Not strange at all you manage to piss me off with a derogatory post about BB in just about every thread you post in. Since I actually like this team I defend it against terrible takes like the ones you can't stop spewing over and over and over.

I very much enjoyed the last 25-30 years of football and I don't have to stand by and read post after post of trolls trying to rip it apart.

Funny - I actually like the team too. I already explained many times why and when Bill lost me and I have no problem with the fact he's gone now.

I agree with all the positive things you said about Bill. I also believe he cratered this roster as a GM over the last decade and as a coach was absolutely terrible the last couple of seasons starting with the idiotic hires of JJ/MP. If you call that hating that's a you problem not me. Subpar coaches can win a conference championship or Super Bowl if they are coaching the right team at the right time. See Switzer, Barry and Caldwell, Jim. But there has never been a coach in the history of the NFL or any sport that has taken a bad roster and made them a great team that year.

Coaching matters but players matter more. Even Bill himself said he's been lucky to coach a lot of great players.

This. 3 years ago everyone was riding McVay's jock because he had a good run with stacked teams. Now that he doesn't have that, he's basically average at best. Even Bill was not immune to having total dud seasons when the talent wasn't there.

A good coach can make the most of the talent he has and do it consistently. That was the value of Bill. You didn't have a Cowboys or Jets situation like this year where a stacked team is just falling apart. Or Norv Turner taking a talented Chargers team and having them lose a bunch of games early because he couldn't get them ready early enough in the year. But ultimately, talent wins.

The Patriots didn't start winning Super Bowls again until Edelman/Gronk/Hightower/McCourty/Chung rose up as the pillars of the team.

It's always been about talent. That's why it was delusional to think Brady would leave and we would just win because Bill Belichick was here and was going to perform some voodoo.
