Drake Maye (UPDATE 11/2 - Maye clears concussion protocol)

I'd sit him against the Titans. Better safe than sorry. And, how much 1st Team reps is he getting being in the protocol compared to if he wasn't for typical game prep?
I’ll be happy if he doesn’t play another down this year. He’s dodged 3 serious injuries so far (assuming the concussion is truly resolved), and if this keeps up our OL will send him to IR.

Typically that would get called. Early contact. But I see your point. I just believe the team owes it to themselves to really try to get whatever else than can out of Tyquan before officially closing the door on another WR bust. Between injuries and bad QB play Tyquan really hasn't had ample opportunity. I say give him a 2 game chance if Tyquan continues to be a non factor then DNP him until an offseason trade partner arises.
Trade partner for TT? Surely you can’t be serious. He isn’t worth a bag of rocks

Wouldn't shock me if Tyquan is a healthy scratch tomorrow. Let's go Javon Baker!!

Meaning you are better off keeping him until the offseason/draft time. You need to fully see if he can do something with Drake. He's had 1 game playing with a real QB.

I think KJ will probably be the guy. He's on the trade block as well brother.

Is this thread about Maye’s concussion status or about Tyquan Thornton? I’m confused. Maybe I’m concussed too?
Hey Ross don't feel bad we all get that way sometimes LOL..

Actually don't laugh at me but.. the line play seems to be much better when Drake is in there.. he just does so much for the offense and the overall team.. defensive Cordinators have to account for all his abilities.. he can throw it 60 yards like Herbert, can break down defenses like Allen with his running

A minor bump only has to move the WR a few inches at the last second and the ball will be missed. That is why the rule is that the defender can not touch the WR, because what does "minor" mean and catching a ball is matter of inches.

You seem like a smart guy, you obviously know this. What is your real point?
This happens to receivers all the time, the bump was minimal, yeah maybe should have been a PI but 90%+ of NFL receivers still catch it. You can find thousands of plays where a guy catches the ball and there is pass interference. It was terrible technique by Thornton, that's why he dropped it, not because of a minor little bump you need to strain to see.

I watched this play probably 30 times. The defender is actually slightly in front of TT, the ONLY reason TT moves at all is because he jumps for a ball he has no need to jump for, otherwise the contact would have never moved him. He never reaches out with his arms so the ball hits him in the chest as he tries to catch it cradling it to his chest. It's just poor technique all the way around.

I agree, but think you are exaggerating with 90%+ catch the ball. A lot of the fast WRs have a relatively slight build and they do not catch that ball. I saw once that a ball over 40 yards only has a 50% pass completion %, so 90%+ is an exaggeration. A ball thrown that far into contested coverage gets caught half the time. Thornton is not Garrett Wilson.

The throw was amazing. Being disappointed with the catch is understandable but the great scramble throw should offset anyone's disappointment on the missed catch. 45 yards on the scramble with a jump pass. The future is bright with Maye.

All I know is that I'm excited to watch the Pats play today, which I would not be at all if Brissett was starting.

Im surprised that they let Maye come back so soon.

LOL. How many fingers am I holding up? Who is President of the United States? (Amazing but true.)
