Exactly....All I have heard is lets give him some time, lets see how he does with this qb, lets see how he does in the new system or lets give him time to get healthy. The kid has sucked since the day he arrived and I have yet to see anything from him that leads me to believe he should even be in the NFL. But why not..... lets keep dragging along the dead wood.

Kid has played in 28 games over 3 years and has averaged 15.4 yards a game.

He can drop passes from Mahomes just as easily as from Maye.
Can't argue there.

If you're giving up on him then I guess he really can't play. That was your guy
I can't get that Drop pass from Maye out my head: Tyquan could have still caught it on the bobble.

True. I just have a side of me that still believes he could make some plays with maye.. but guess not.

We could have had Calvin Austin III is the Fourth Round in 2022. A one trick pony who does his job.

We know who are the keepers Pop and Boutte the rest have 9 more games.
Jaque Jackson who's on IR had a great camp and he could also be in the plans for next year. KB is under contract so he's here next season. But I agree every one is see ya!

I mean hopefully his concussion isn't severe and he is good. But the way this season is, there's like zero urgency to play him and rush him. If he can play but another week is better for him, there's literally no downside to doing it.

Not super emotionally invested in anything but whatever is best for his health.

Let's be real, the receivers here have been given mulligans they never deserved for several years because the QB's weren't all that good even though most evidence when you isolated them on seperation and drops and how they run routes has been pretty dreadful at worst and mediocre at best.

Now we have a QB, and the same **** is happening so it's eye opening to some people. They needed to see these guy let Maye down last week and then the contrast that a lot of the same crap was happening to Brissett once he subbed him.

Thornton sucks. You can't do anything with that. Brady couldn't do anything with Dobson and Thompkins. A great QB can elevate guys like Deion Branch and Julian Edelman into number 1's and guys like Hogan and Amendola into very solid role players and good number 2's. They can't make trash better. Nowadays really all you see is Henry who see's a good spike up when the QB play improves. But that's because he's actually a solid player.

Seriously I have given up on Tyquan the guy flat out can't catch. His Days are numbered in this league unless he does a 360.
Over one play? A lot of people have given up on him but can’t catch isn’t really a good reason. He hasnt had drop issues.

AJ I wanted the Guy to do good but I'm at a loss with him.

I'd sit him against the Titans. Better safe than sorry. And, how much 1st Team reps is he getting being in the protocol compared to if he wasn't for typical game prep?

I don't want to make light of concussions or head injuries but how did the NFL let Mahomes play the next week in a playoff game after suffering a concussion? He looked like he was knocked out by Mike Tyson.

On the other hand, Maye looked fine after getting hit and his status is now unknown.

In nine quarters of football as a starter, Drake Maye has five passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. And two interceptions - one of which was a tipped ball that a guy caught on the back of his helmet.

My guess is the guys in the receiving room have spent a lot of time catching passes this week and going over fundamentals. These are all football players who can catch the ball. Sometimes you need a game like the Jets game to go back to the basics and focus on securing the football.

If the doctors clear him, let him play. I'd love to see a full game from him against a team like Tennessee.

The Titans turn the ball over - 31st in interceptions thrown and middle of the pack in rushing fumbles. The Patriots defense could have a big day against the Titans and give Maye a few more possessions and experience with his receivers and running backs.

No urgency but if Brissett play and plays well, adding Mayo lack of experience and there might be some noise for nothing, it's better for Mayo to just shot down questions on that and say Maye is going to play an be done with it.
