Celtics 2024-2025 Discussion

Tim Donaghy stepping up in this one.

I never trust a game with the Greek Dud in it. I just don't. League keeps trying to create a foreign born superstar and they just fail. Count me out on the Nokic as the best too. He's good but he ain't all that.

I retract my comment nice half from JB right now.

Derrick White sticks 3 pointer in Giannis’s face, blocks Giannis’s shot, drills another 3

Cs shouldn’t trade him but curious what is trade value of Payton Pritchard? There must be a bunch of teams that would love to have him as a starter.

How he is playing right now including the last half of last year? A 1st, no doubt.

I hate this foul hunting BS. Lillard getting 3 shots for projecting into defender. I hated watching games when Kobe and Harden did this, and basically the whole iso ball era.

The NBA said they were going to end that last year. It's a joke, hated when Tatum etc did it too. They don't do it anymore.

Did it again...and Brothers doesn't care. IT was an emphasis item for the league last year.

And again the Celtics just have too much for just about anyone. All this without KP.

Remarkable.

Orlando looking solid. Banchero dropped 50.

Cleveland putting the Knicks to bed. Cleveland was picked by some insiders to be a dark horse.

Both teams are good defensively and built as basketball squads rather than forced superstar alliances. Could be interesting in the eastern conference this year.

They are all nice teams. They don't have what the Celtics have though. Nobody does so as long as they stay healthy..yeah good luck with that.

Edit to add break down every team by player or position and compare to the Celtics. Then add in the intangibles etc. It's a race for who loses to the Celtics in the ECF and then the Finals imo.

If there’s anything to be somewhat concerned about it’s Hauser’s back injury. Doesn’t feel like there has been any updates but that injury can linger and Hauser said it was bothering him in the offseason.

The drop off from Hauser to Walsh/Schierman is a lot.

Walsh is a G League guy. People root for him because of his appearance / condition. He shouldn’t be playing with the regulars given he’s not even a solid contributor when they empty the bench. Maybe he’ll develop but right now he’s a huge liability.

Don’t really get why they didn’t play Queta tonight since Lopez feasted on their small lineup.

Quite a Monday night for NY sports fans:

-Knicks lose to Cavs

-Yankees about to go down 3-0 in World Series

-Giants just fumbled away chance against Steelers

Jets game was just the appetizer

Celtics played Bucks last year and got absolutely throttled, so we we overlooked that it was also the most one sided officiating game of the season, and it was infuriating until the game was so far out of reach you just had to shrug.

I don’t know if this is a Bucks theme of getting calls / getting away with fouls, but I always hate watching that team with Giannis recklessly barreling into defenders to draw fouls and Lillard playing Kobe ball.

DW’s father is great commentator and almost never complains about refs and his X feed is all over the Brothers ******** tonight.

Lakers opened with an 18 point lead against the Suns.

LeBron was 0/0 at that point. Everyone on team was feasting with him as a decoy / court spacer and running the offense through Davis.

LeBron clearly couldn’t handle it. Played 36 minutes, went 3/14, logged a -17, while every other starter was in the green.

Lakers lost. Discussions about him being the GOAT are farcical. Every one of his teams is anchored to his ego.
