Belichick remarks on Mayo's "soft" comments on Pat McAfee Show - "They're not soft"

Even when you try to say something nice you can't.

No one else sees anything as complicated except for a small segment of delusional Patriots fans.
You think the -gate scandals are part of a normal legacy? One HOF voter already said he’s not voting for Bill for that reason.

Joe blow from Iowa barely remembers that and it does not even register when compared to his winning legacy. It's just you guys alone on that sad hill. And the only ones who even know you exist are the ones close enough to hear you (i.e. other Pats fans).

Joe blow from Iowa probably still calls him “Belicheat” like many fans still do. He also thinks of Brady being associated to the Patriots winning more than Bill. Just like Montana more than Walsh.

That stuff is part of his legacy whether we like it or not. It’s not what we think it’s perception.

Something thrown out by rivals at the time definitely not something they still think twice about. It's just you and your ilk.

What did Mayo do to Bill? Not soeculation but proven fact.

This narrative about poor Bill being a victim is BS
What did Bill say about Mayo that Brady, DMC, Law and every other commentator didn’t also say?

Nothing, he pointed out the obvious, don’t punt down the middle of the field that far back into your own territory. As a head coach be more measured with your words and understand that when speaking with the media you are actually talking to your own team.

As far as Bill being a victim, the Patriots owners and even Mayo have slammed him repeatedly in the media and he hasn’t responded… so fck them.

This is pro football, a billion dollar business… nobody is safe from criticism.

Are you serious?

First, Belichick had nothing to do with Deflategate.
Second, Spygate was an even bigger farce than Deflategate.

Pure jealousy.

Are you a Patriot fan?

I'm looking forward to Bill coming back with his son as DC on a contending team that plays NE in 2025. If Mayo is still around, he won't be around much longer after a loss.

Tom was planning his exit because he had issues with Bill who wanted to keep him year to year and Brady was fed up and then in his free agency Bill basically didn't attempt to give him anything.

I know it's inconveniant for people to hear, but the GOAT left when he still had Super Bowl and MVP caliber years because he had a problem with Bill Belichick and Bill and his staff were too far up their own ass and thought they could win without him and flopped.
Kraft is on record saying he personally negotiated all of Brady’s contracts.
Hes also on record saying this in 2018

He'll be 41 when the season starts," Kraft told The Athletic's's Jeff Howe. "Neither side has an issue with it. If it becomes an issue, we'll deal with it."

Why would Kraft make this comment, personally negotiate Brady’s contracts, and then abandon himself from the next one?

Your argument is Brady was “planning his exit less than 12 months and a SB win after Kraft said this.

I’m saying BB’s legacy is complicated and that’s one reason why. Legacy is defined by what other fans think not us.
No one who isn't a jealous fan thinks that. I listen to Buffalo radio all the time and they laugh at this stuff..

He wasn't even involved with Deflategate

These two words mean the same thing.

I'm all for you having your own interpretation of Bill, I don't really give a **** BUT I think you might be projecting here. Just sit with your own take, it's all good.

That's because the only people who think his Legacy is not fully intact are dumb Patriots fans.

Seriously. Find me anyone who talks about Bill like Patriot fan haters?
His legacy is one of the greatest coaches of all time. Is he the best? There’s a strong case for it but his lack of accomplishments (failures) without Brady definitely raises questions about being the GOAT head coach.

It’s just funny watching a 4 win coach pile on and keep yapping. He is bitter and has an axe to grind. I get it though, he’s human.

No one else plays that game except pats fans. It really is quite odd.

I put Bill on the top tier of coaches with a few others. There are arguments for and against him being better than all of his peers on that tier. Same with everyone else.

Putting Bill over someone like Lombardi is tough. Lombardi has the best playoff win% ever, he has the trophy named after him and is also a cultural icon that BB isn’t really.
