Nobody can outbid us where have you been??
Are you talking about trading and immediately extending a star tackle? I mean sure, I agree with that. Tell me who’s a star tackle that’s available in a trade right now that won’t cost us the currently #1 overall draft pick.

And then the player has to agree to the extension.

This type of trade doesn’t happen often. The last star player I remember being traded to the team with the worst record in the NFL mid season and agreeing to a contract extension was Jamie Collins in 2016.

Need Bourne why?? Even K Boutte is showing that he's better you overate Bourne he's a scrub.
I don't know what you aren't grasping. Bourne is a JAG. We all know that but Bourne is the only one who even seems to have an ounce of maturity in that receiver room.

Boutte hopefully is turning a corner maturity-wise but he has had issues going back 5 years now all the way through college.

Demario Douglas was openly pouting early on in the year and *****ed publicly and may, or may not, have been one of the guys who Bourne called out for "staying out late and eating whatever" as we saw he was battling with alleged food poisoning.

KJ Osborne somehow has the gall to basically call out the team after the game for the harrowing circumstances he had to overcome when he learned he would be active late Saturday. That also leads me to believe that one, or multiple, receivers (Baker and Douglas) were out late doing things they shouldn't have been doing and Baker was the scratch instead of Osborne but who knows?

Then there is Jalynn Polk who was apparently viewed as a character guy from what I remember and has been anything but since he arrived here. From his dumb comments in camp about how people "shouldn't root for me", to the social media crap, to publicly rebuking his coach's comments only to go out and show off his "best hands in the league" with multiple drops. He has been a mess. Many surmised we passed on a guy with better physical skills, in AD Mitchell, because he was a head case. Mitchell isn't exactly lighting it up either but at least I haven't heard a peep about him being a pain on the ass in Indy.

Tyquan is the forgotten man who probably won't be on the roster by the end of the year unless some of these guys are shelved or traded.

Mayo has handled this group about as poorly as he could so far. Didn't really seem to nip Douglas's crap in the bud which potentially opened the door for the rest of the group to follow suit. He hasn't really seemed to do much in limiting Polk's snaps no matter how big of an ******* he is and how many times he drops the ball. Then the cherry on top for me was Mayo basically saying Osborne can talk to him if he has an issue but he has a right to free speech or whatever nonsense he used to justify a bottom of the roster guy calling out the team on social media. We need all hands on deck in that receiver room and if Mayo or Tiquan Underwood aren't going to discipline these guys or hold them accountable then Bourne is worth far more than a 5th round pick to me.

If Hopkins stays healthy - which is hardly a given for KC WRs these days - he will be a valuable addition to the team. It is hardly a coincidence that Travis Kelce has finally hit the wall and, at the same time, Mahomes is off to what is by far his worst start. They are not as solid as their record suggests.

Titans just traded LB Jones and got a 4th round pick back, and a lesser LB.
Come on Wolf don't let the Titans out-tank you! Nobody wants any of our guys?
Maybe Maye will need a rest and Jacoby can play against the Titans? We're #1, We're #1!

I think him and the Jags are parting ways... he would like a different scenario and boat load of course.

Probably secures the three peat if he's 80% of what he used to be. The league is ******ed
The 3-Peat was happening no matter what. This is to try to get Mahomes back into the MVP race. The Chiefs are still in the old Patriots’ “Mystique” phase. The only 3 teams I’ve seen smack them in the mouth are the 2018 Pats, 2020 Bucs and the 2021 Bengals. Everyone else out-thinks themselves and goes away from their own strengths and opts to play into the Chiefs’ hands.

Hopkins doesn't play to his strengths of backyard football or a YAC receiver either. He's good for 3-5 catches a game and that's what they need. Mahomes isn't winning the MVP this year but they will 3 peat that defense is nasty

I'm guessing that if he wants a "different scenario" then he probably doesn't mean New England.

Pats would've 3 peated in 2005 had Bill taken that off-season more seriously. 2005 ended up being a really bad year for the NFL - lots of mediocre teams.

Chiefs are looking like they'll do it since the current league is so weak.

I know he doesn't look like the healthiest but a few more wins and years... Mahomes is not even 30 yet: he'll be mentioned as one of the Greats if not the Greatest.
Right now he's great

We’ll cast away the no holds called in 4 sbs for now.

I would say one of the the unsung heroes is Spagnola. Hate the guy but he can cook.

What does this even mean? Besides the Chiefs, there are 8 teams who are 5-2 or better. KC may be 6-0 but if we are being honest, they are unbeatable behemoth who has dominated their way through September and October. It is not an exaggeration to say they are inches away from being 3-3.

2005? yeah, bummer

2002 was there for the taking as well

and then there is the obvious 2015 or 2017 seasons... one win there and its trips...

Man, nobody could fork up a 5th just for the sake of not letting that happen? Is a 5th rounder really more valuable to the titans than having hopkins? This is so annoying
People used to say this about us all the time whenever we got a decent player. The truth is that teams don't make moves to block other teams. The mediocre teams don't care about it and the contenders want to use resources on their own needs. Players also get a say. Hopkins probably plays nicer with facilitating a trade to the Chiefs than some other team.

Welp if they 6 peat, they still won’t be as special as our wins. Gonna say good on them though. They were ass for years. That being said, they can choke on a bag of ****s. Andy Reid will stroke out before they get to 5 I think.

I guess we having the most Cap Space counts for nothing.

It means you can overpay in a bidding war. Which isn't neccessarily a good thing.

The competition the Chiefs have are bonafide chokers. I'll believe it when I see it

It means the NFL product as whole is horrible - and it keeps getting worse. There are no threats to KC.

The AFC in 2002 was one of the weakest we've seen, but I'm kind of glad the Pats avoided that Bucs defense.

2015 had a ton of injuries, but a Super Bowl birth was still on the table had they locked up HFA.

2017 Super Bowl was tough to watch.
