So your answer is he was lying? Why did he build this offensive line if he knew it would be bad?

If he was honest and said that, he would have been admitting he failed.

The 70:30 rep split between the QBs was ideal for neither. Jacoby was being disadvantaged compared with every other QB, and May was only getting 30%.
So better for it to end sooner rather than later, just so long as Maye doesn't get hurt or become gun shy behind a leaky line.

Getting hurt and/or gun-shy is what I'm most concerned about. Although between the two, I'm most concerned with him getting injured as I suspect that he's a different breed of cat than Jones was/is.

I do hope my Man TRM, that Maye gets through this season injury free and does get to play behind just a GREATLY improved OL next season. A legit #1 (or reasonable facsimile thereof WR wouldn't hurt). But a solid and hopefully better OL will go a very long way to helping him reach his potential. If they make the right moves next off season, they can achieve both.

No, they didn't. 6 weeks for Maye is good enough. They aren't that stupid to put him in if he wasn't ready.

I politely disagree, this is a rookie QB who they feel is up to speed and gives us a better chance to win than the QB they've been trotting out every week.

It's time....I was pulling for Brissett but the season is basically toast and Maye has to play at some point anyway. Better to get it started now.
