It's easy, and only takes a few moments. He might be simultaneously the best WR and best CB in college ball right now. If you can get him you take.Hunter seems like a classic high maintenance Diva. Don't really know anything about him but have a negative perception so far.
James White good enough for you, Triumph?
He ruined everything lolMy god Mac Jones really « ruined » a lot of Pats posters.
Jacoby is seeing ghosts 4 games in. How long until Maye does? 2?White is defending his buddy.
Jacoby Brissetts future (and present) mean zero to this franchise.
We can have 1 Qb on the field getting experience.
It doesn’t matter which one would play better right now, the one gaining experience should be Maye.
All of these appeals to authority are misplaced because they aren’t asking the right question.
The question isn’t what’s best for the team today (this season was given up on before it started)
The question isn’t at what point Mayecwill be most prepared to play.
The question is what can be done today to make Maye the best he can be in 2025, 2026 and beyond.
And the answer is get him on the field learning and gaining experience. The fact that it will come under adverse conditions is all the more reason ge should be out there.
Dealing with adversity and playing best under bad conditions is the dividing line between QBs who have pretty stats and QBs who consistently win in the post season
What do you do with Maye next summer if the OL looks like it sucks again?Jacoby is seeing ghosts 4 games in. How long until Maye does? 2?
You people wanting to play Maye are the same whining the Pats aren't winning. Can't see the big plan or what is best for a young QB. Not until they have a semblance of a line can you even think about putting him in there. IMO the line of Lowe, Sowe, Andrews, Wallace, Onwenu would have been fine if it had gelled for a month and a half or so.
It hasn't so Maye doesn't need to be anywhere near that field. I don't need my young QB to be seeing ghosts this year.
One, he will have had a full year learning the offense, practicing with that offense and against an NFL D. You would think his fundamentals are locked in. The game will have slowed down for him quite a bit, then he has a full offseason to get stronger, better and more practice. If they get a top 3-5 pick in the draft, the OT of the future is sitting right there. Then you need to figure out the center problem, but no I don't see the line being much of an issue next year at all. What do you do with Maye next summer if the OL looks like it sucks again?
Let's say we sign two tackles in free agency, draft 1, and draft a center and then all four get hurt. What do you do with Maye then?
If you think there is some sort of big master plan this team is in the process of executing, and everything is going as it should, you are absolutely delusional. This is a directionless franchise.Jacoby is seeing ghosts 4 games in. How long until Maye does? 2?

OK, so I'll put you in the category of people who think Maye should sit out year 2 as well if/when the o-line isn't significantly better next year. Not until they have a semblance of a line can you even think about putting him in there.
The first part of your response was the type of stuff I was looking for the second half you resorted back to assuming the line won't be an issue next year. One, he will have had a full year learning the offense, practicing with that offense and against an NFL D. I expect him to see some time near the end of the season to get his feet wet a little bit more. In the end I don't think he is mentally weak or will get ruined. Doesn't mean I like the percentages of his development going in a negative direction if he plays before the team is ready to support him.
It is hilarious how so many of the people talking about how atrocious our offensive line is this year think the problem will just magically fix itself and they assume it "won't be an issue" next year. The first part of your response was the type of stuff I was looking for the second half you resorted back to assuming the line won't be an issue next year.
Yeah I don't see the line being an issue next year if they pick up the right guys and health is a thing. Sure those are all big IFs and I still play Maye next year from day 1.The first part of your response was the type of stuff I was looking for the second half you resorted back to assuming the line won't be an issue next year.
I also assume it will be better next year but as this year proves you don't always get what you want.
Personally I think this would have been a good week to make the change just based on the schedule. 13 games left and only 5 true road games left and one on neutral field the rest are at home. And the opponents coming up aren't exactly murders row especially with Tua hurt and both Buffalo games at the end of the year.
It won't magically fix itself but I see no reason why it can't be improved. But the point isn't about whether it can but if it fails then what. No one would expect us to sit the kid a second year therefore it's not a great reason to sit him now. You sit him if you don't think he's ready but I don't think you sit him out of fear of other positions. It is hilarious how so many of the people talking about how atrocious our offensive line is this year think the problem will just magically fix itself and they assume it "won't be an issue" next year.
If it is so easy to improve an o-line, why didn't they do it this past offseason? It won't magically fix itself but I see no reason why it can't be improved.
They should not have drafted a not-ready player with #3 overall. But the point isn't about whether it can but if it fails then what. You're taking it too far. If they actually make investments in a couple of free agent signings and a draft pick or 2 they should expect improvements. Don't half ass it with some out of position player in the dog house on his previous team and draft one higher than round 3.If it is so easy to improve an o-line, why didn't they do it this past offseason?
We have no idea what the o-line will look like next year. We have no idea what players coming back from injury will play like. We have no idea what free agents we will pursue and which, if any, will be interested in coming here. We have no idea what o-line draft picks will be available or if there will be better players available.
They should not have drafted a not-ready player with #3 overall.
How is Brissett seeing ghosts? He has legit pressure he just doesn’t deal with it wellJacoby is seeing ghosts 4 games in. How long until Maye does? 2?

As this past offseason has proven, that is easier said than done. You're taking it too far. If they actually make investments in a couple of free agent signings and a draft pick or 2 they should expect improvements.
past performance does not guarantee the same future resultsAs this past offseason has proven, that is easier said than done.
Past performance doesn't guarantee future results, but it is a very good indicator.past performance does not guarantee the same future results
